Ever happened upon a pricey hair product..............

........that was unexpectedly marked down to a ridiculous clearance price? This was delightfully surprising.....

So I've been curious about Nubian Heritage products for a month or two (ever since I found out they had hair products). And I had been itching to try the Indian Hemp & Tamanu Grow & Strengthen line up. I've been putting it off bcuz of the price (too far outside my budget). Now they're on a BOGO sale @ Walgreens but there are three items I'm wanting. Call me tight but having a BOGO special and still spending $30.00 wasn't my cup o' tea.

Yesterday on my lunch hour I went to one of the Walgreens I frequent. This particular store only had the EVOO & Moringa stuff....or so I thought....

Apparently, when the EVOO & Moringa shipment came in, the staff loading the shelves pushed the Indian Hemp & Tamanu Herbal Custard to the back so noone knew it was there for a while. When someone finally caught it, they were like "Oh no!" So they reduced a $16 item to $3 frickin .99 bcuz of this oversight. I was on it so quick! I hit up another Walgreens on my way home to get the BOGO on the Edge Taming Taffy and Treatment Masque.

Had I paid reg for this stuff it woulda been over $40.00..... I spent just under $17.00. I'm sure there have been more spectacular deals captured, but I had to share this one. Favor for me from the Lord, I dare say...

Awsome!!!! I found a gigantic bottle of tresemme naturals at a conveniant store for 1.29! I was delighted seeing as it was my first week of CG and i needed TONS of condish! Congrats again
I find lots of great hair product discounts at Big Lots. One of my favorites was a bottle of Bumble and Bumble hair calming spray (can't remember the name). I normally hate any kind of spray but I tried this because it sounded like it might help with definition. I liked it enough to go back for more.
Regular retail $40. I paid $4.80.
I've gotten some great conditioners in brands I'd never tried due to cost or brands I'd never heard of. I loved one kind so much I ended up buying every bottle they had - 12 total for 88 cents each.
In Western PA
Found NC in 2004. CG since 2-05, going grey since 9-05. 3B with some 3A.
Hair texture-medium/fine, porosity-normal except for the ends which are porous, elasticity-normal.
Suave & VO5 cond, LA Looks Sport Gel, oils, honey, vinegar.

The sale I happened upon this evening isn't as spectacular......but I'm still glad about it.

My local health food store, Sprouts, is having a 25% off sale on all vitamins and body care. So I grabbed me some Nubian Heritage Black Soap w/ the matching lotion. I was pleasantly surprised to find that hair care was included in the body care category (I know of no other store that does it). So I also grabbed a Beautiful Curls shampoo and leave-in. I've been curious about this product line for about a month, so we shall see...

yay for MissKris! and everyone else here who spotted a deal...Today, I scooped a TiGi Urban Anecdotes Level 2 bottle of shampoo (which I use and love, it is *seriously* healing my hair) for only $12.99 at my local Winners! (that'd be TJ Maxx or Marshall's for you American gals.) This bottle is HUGE, like 32 oz, and a pump on top, and it seriously beats the $18 I regularly pay for the small 10 oz tube of it! lol! They also had the Level 1 in same size, which I will go back for tomorrow - as it is a great clarifying shampoo

The only other thing I could wish is that they had the condish too I use waaaay more condish than 'poo....still thinking it was a great scoop
Finer, mixed with coarser strands, low-porosity, wavy curly whirly hair...3A, 2C hair. Medium thickness, medium elasticity.
S-shaped hair with corkscrew ends. My hair is even more confused than me ;p
My hair officially hates protein Once a month is enough!
Currently a fan of TiGi products, (rock on, TiGi Curlesque styling creme!) but that will soon change - I am a self-avowed product junkie! Yay!
BIG fan of supersoaker method - thanks Rudeechick!
Sometimes use the Macadamia deep treatment masque for my hair and here in Toronto it is about $40 dollars per jar which isn’t the best deal. So I took a trip over the border to do some shopping in Buffalo New York which is just past the Niagara Falls border and just an hour and a half away. I went to Target and found the same treatment masque for $29.99 for TWO jars!! Not to mention I hit up all the malls and shopped till I literally wanted to drop
Ok so I hit up my store, Walgreens. Nubian Heritage hair products are once again on sale BOGO free, and Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque & Moisture Retention Shampoo were both $2 off. Plus my rewards points got me $5 off my purchase! What would have normally been roughly $50 was under $30. Me likey! Furthermore, I got in on the Miss Jessie's BOGO Free sale. That was a must for me as I am quite loyal to the Curly Buttercreme, and for the opportunity to surprise my Mommi with her Curly Pudding, which I believe will last her until the next BOGO event.
