Before i realised i could get curls stuff in the uk i had my boyfriend order a load of spiral cream from sistasplace when i was going to NC in the summer, i still have 5 bottles left and i don't use a lot ( one bottle lasts me around 4 months!) so i haven't tried the new formular.

As for the milkshake, maybe the one i have now is the new one, i don't know but it still works the same, I think I'll keep using them until i notice a bad difference in my hair, just because a lot of people don't like it, doesn't mean it won't be good for me either.

Seeing you are a 4a, Suburbanbushbabe, maybe that has something to do with it. I've noticed more of the 3c/4a crowd than those with looser or 3b curls liked the new formulations.

I'm sensitive to fragrances too so I totally relate concerning the Spiral Curls Cream. The irony is that I loved the fragrance of the Asian Tea condish which is supposed to be the Spiral's new fragrance.

Still, it's refreshing that we can all be so different--different goals, different curls, even different fragrance likes/dislikes--even though we share the common element of having curls.

As regards the Milkshake, I truly see no difference to the old and new formulations, either look or effect. And Milkshake is a product I apply day after day (along with Set it Free) and have no problem with build-up. I'm on day 4. I haven't smelled the new SCC -- what does it smell like? I hate the cherry lifesaver smell of the old SCC.

Ditto and to add that a notice about a change in fragrance would be nice. As I've posted a few times in other threads, I had emailed the owner a couple times as a shipment of SCC had come in and supposedly was bought out before a new shipment came in and I got in on it. There was no mention of a change in the newer version I'd be purchasing. Since I don't like the smell of CEAHT and that's what the new SCC smells like, I sold it. I saw nothing on the site at that time mentioning the changes, either.

I had PM'd a couple of times with a newbie to the site who had written Curls about being disappointed with the changes in SCC. She said she'd received a not very nice reply and would not do business with them again.

I understand that formulas change and all that. Goodness knows we've seen enough changes or discontinuations of products we've loved. It's just they seem to come out of the blue with no notice until after the change and way too often. I'm basically phasing them out because the products that I liked are either gone or have been changed.

I voted after Curlmart stopped selling but it's really a combination of things with me. I still have another bottle of CEHT which I love and will use.

I don't use cones so I don't like to take chances either. Also, I have ordered from Curls a couple of times and if I got something I liked, then the next time I would look they wouldn't have that product anymore. It kind of became a "why bother" type of situation for me. Then when Curlmart didn't have them anymore I just started finding new things like Curl Junkie to try.

I pretty much have a slew of styling products that I use that aren't Curls anyway so I'll just stick with them. It was mainly that conditioner that I used. Is that conditioner still safe to use now?

All of that said I just want to state that I've never had a problem ordering from Curls. Her CS has always been wonderful.
