Default Need recommendations for stronger hold curl cream or pudding

I have been using jellies but they just aren't cutting it, and gel seems to dry me out. Ideally I'd like a cream with strong hold, no cones or the kind that wash out easily (I do a low poo once a week) Thanks!

Jenn

I use one from Sally's called Noodle Head (probably other places have it too). Biotera has a good one too, but made my 3a curls feel heavy. May work for you, don't know your hair of course :-) good luck!

did the noodlehead leave crunch at all? I don't mind that, I can always scrunch it out. I just need something with a firm hold. Thanks

You might consider trying Fairy Tales Curly Q gel... I know you said gels tend to dry you out but this one has shea butter, almond oil, and meadowfoam oil in it among other moisturizing ingredients and it gives me awesome hold. I've been using it for years with success.

Water/eau/aqua, steareth-10 allyl ether/acrylates copolymer, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, prunus serotina (wild cherry) bark extract, panax ginseng root extract, propylene glycol, glycerin, cinnamidopropyltrimonium chloride, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, potassium sorbate, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, tetrasodium EDTA, polysorbate 20, fragrance (parfum), sodium hydroxide, diazolidinyl urea.

Ooooo that does look promising... thanks for the idea! & I think I have seen that one at ULTA - would be awesome if I could get it on the ground! What's the scent like?

You can always make your own curl creme . Just mix a hard hold gel with some LI and presto, curl creme.

There is a little crunch, but nothing major and yes, it scrunched out.

Oh sorry, dang abbreviations. LI = Leave In. Which really is just any conditioning product you leave in your hair after a shower. It doesn't have to be a LI specific product, even plain, regular conditioner works.

+1 for the Fairy Tales! I used that one a while ago and really want to revisit it! It smells lovely, like cherries or something fruity. I remember it really separated my curls a lot, so not the best for clumping, but excellent when you want a ton of tighter curls.
