Anybody seen the two new vo5 conditioners? New Clarifying!

Well the scent is interesting, I really can't smell vanilla OR mint but yet it smells so yummy sweet.

I picked up the Vanilla Mint shampoo yesterday at CVS. For some reason, VO5 conditioners never work for me, but I was needing a good clarifier for color treated hair since I got my lowlights done a week or so ago.

I used it this morning with my true HG, at least for the cool weather - B2B Pomegranate (I actually used the new formula this AM & love just as much as the old formula - yay!!), & my hair is doing great I agree with the VO5 smell - not really vanilla or mint, but nice & sugary - love it!!

BTW, CVS also had a grapefruit mandarin & a nectarine "something" flavors of both the poo & conditioner. These sound great for the summer

Shampoo: Still use sulfates, but only on roots
Rinse out: Deva One C, JC Too Shea, Original Sprouts Deep Conditioner
Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

I

thanks to you ladies I picked this up at CVS on Tuesday. I used it as a CO wash last night...my first ever! I must agree that the smell isn't really vanilla or mint. To me, it smells like white tea, but a little sweeter. Either way, it's a really yummy smell and it left my hair feeling so refreshed! I have to try it a few more times to be sure, but I think it's a good find!!
I really need to go find this!

Too bad I just got out of the shower and can't leave the house for another 2 hours until my hair somewhat dries.
In DESPERATE need of a haircut.
You're killing me! I must find this condish!
OMG, LOOK!!

...It's a siggie.

Okay so I washed my hair tonight and it feels all tingly and fresh! The vanilla mint scent came out while I was using it on my hair. It was so strong that both my mother AND cat smelled it from her bedroom. LOL. Mom came in like "MMMM....what is that minty smell?"

First I scrubbed my scalp with my new Avalon Organics Tea Tree non-sulfate shampoo (hopefully it'll help get rid of my flakes, and it also has a minty smell). After I washed that I out I co-washed with the Vanilla Mint conditioner and washed that out, and then applied a ton of it to the length of my hair. It left my hair so soft the moment I put it in my hair, the slip on it is unbelievable, it detangles so well, and got some good clumps. It was really liquidy though! But I love it because it's so easy to distribute and sinks into my hair easily and it made the co-wash so easy to do!

I'm plopping overnight (which I hate doing but it's too cold to go to bed with it loose) so I'll see how it turns out in the morning! But so far I like it!

Okay so I really like this co! I got some great curl definition, my 3a's are nice and clumpy, my 3b's are nice and coily. It was pretty windy today and my commute to work was sardines in a can so my hair got jostled a bit, but otherwise it's holding up real well. The test is whether or not I can get 2nd/3rd day hair.

BTW, I couldnt' believe how well my hair looked after plopping overnight. The last time I tried to plop overnight was during the summer/fall so I think overnight plopping works better during colder weather. Interesting, that means I can wash my hair more often because I can do it at night.

Verdict: Definitely loving this co for the winter, and I can't wait to see how it will fare during the warmer seasons.

ahhh.. I can't find it anywhere!!

I co-washed with it this morning and was a bit skeptical due to it being so thin, because I felt like I needed more substance to scrub with. But I think it did pretty well and will definitely keep using it and would repurchase! I think it actually helped to detangle too.

I have noticed a bit of frizzing from my ears down but that could be because I didn't distribute enough gel...I wish I had something to smooth on my hair now so I can eliminate them.

This was a great thread! Read like a PJ soap opera...the saga of hockeymom...will she like it...will it clump enough...will it give enough slip...how will it smell...more vanilla less mint or vice-versa!

The PJ in me is INTRIGUED and today after co-washing with VO5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze for the LAST TIME (had to throw a nearly full bottle in trash). I blame this stuff for nearly ending my try at the CG routine a month or so ago. Each and every time HORRIBLE FRIZZ! :x I'm no angel and I don't like going around with a HALO!! So I trashed it. But I would like a clarilfying alternative to the Passion Fruit that has now become my co-wash of choice. So CVS here I come...

Modified CG, co wash diluted VO5, LOVE Elucence MBC & MBS! Activate's nice too.
Still looking for a styling product...suggestions welcome!
Ok, I ended up clarifying this morning and used the vanilla mint as my condish not expecting a lot, but OH MY I just love the way it slipped right through my hair even after using shampoo to start over! I love this stuff right now...I am going to get the passion fruit one too. I used recoil to style with so we'll see how it all turns out!

So I used the kiwi/lime followed by some Elucence and had wonderful curls that lasted all day. On Friday I cowashed again following the same routine and my hair was a bushy frizzy mess that could not hold a curl. I guess this conditioner is a lot more clarifying them I thought. In between I just rinsed and conditioned. Would you say I probably should spread out the days further between cowashes? Anybody else experience this with the kiwi/lime?
I'm so bummed that the Vanilla Mint and Kiwi/Lime didn't work for me. They smelled so yummy. Stupid, picky hair.
