Oil treatment with cones

I searched but didn't find an answer to this so thought I'd ask here. I subscribe to a monthly makeup/skincare club where they send you a package every month that has different things in it. Well this month I'm getting a hot oil treatment among other things. When I checked the ingredients, they included cones. My question is, how do I go about using this oil treatment? I would have to use a shampoo with sulfates to remove the cones so is it even worth it to use this type of oil treatment?

You could use a low-poo with coco betaine, that would remove cones without needing sulfates.

Also, some hot oil treatments are meant to be used before a shampoo, so you might want to check the instructions. Plus, even if those aren't the directions you could still do it that way, or just wait until you are ready to wash it and low-poo it out.
Or clarify, if you are due for one!

Thank you! Now I'm excited to try it out. Can you recommend a good low poo with coco betaine?
