Help! Dry, frizzy hair. What could it be?

I've been CG for around a month now. And the first few weeks my hair loved it. But like the last week or so I have had horrible hair. It's all dry and frizzy with no definition. My hair normally has definition and shine even without any product.
What could cause this change?

Here's a pic of what my hair looks right now...

Frizz can be caused by a number of factors - build up, overconditioned, not enough protein, manipulating the hair too much during drying, etc. Take a good look at your products and their ingredients. Are they the right ones for your hair type? Did you clarify before starting CG? My hair is fine and prone to being overconditioned. I need to use light products, low-poo regularly and balance the moisture with protein. These links may help you:

curlypearl likes this.
3B, fine, normal to low porosity
Modified CG since June 2010
HGs: FSG, anything with glycerin, Tresemme Naturals conditioner, Curls Like Us cloths, satin pillowcases.
Thanks!
I will look into it. I carefully followed all the steps when going CG but maybe I got something wrong.
I hope I can fix this soon.

remember, with all advice or suggestions for your hair, YMMV!!
My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)

Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.
all of the above plus how you dry your hair can create frizz. use a curl-friendly towel, t shirt... and blot it, don't really dry it.
if you blow dry, always use a diffuser and leave your hair slightly damp.

I also never use any type of heat on my hair. I had to cut it because of heat damage and am really paranoid now.
I'm still not sure what the cause is.
It could be over-conditioning....I co-wash a lot.
Would a protein treatment reverse the effect of too much moisture?
I am kind of afraid to do one because I don't know how my hair reacts to protein.
I had this problem when first going GG. I did a search on the water in my town and found out it was very hard and was building up on my hair. I tried clarifying with shampoo and my hair was back to normal. I went out the next day and bought a filter for my shower and problem solved. You might look into this. It could very well be from your water that's building up on your hair. One big indication was before the filter I could never keep my glass shower door clean. It always had what looked like a white film. It wasn't soap scum just a cloudy film that took lots of elbow grease to get clean again.
