About to give up on cg!!!!!
My hair is driving me crazy!!!!! I have always had a frizz problem with a patch at my crown I have been doing CG for idk 2 months I believe and I have frizz all over no matter what I do it is ridiculous!!!! I do not know what to do I am puttin in more work in my hair than when I use to straighten it I have bought so many different things. Right now I use this organix awaphui ginger deep treatment and that makes my hair soooooo soft then I use the oil that goes with that and I use this stuff called "curls" I got it at target I use the creme brulee one and clip the front up to mask some of the frizz but tonight after clensing and conditioning in the shower with the organix awaphui ginger conditioner then gettin out and having a ton of frizz puttin tresemme naturals and la Bella gel in I still have a ton of frizz

The organix products contain silicone, you probably have some serious build up..

ChristyCheryl is right. I'm pretty sure that the Organix oil you're using contains silicones.

You're welcome! Hmm...I haven't heard of glop glam! But as for the Curls line, It is a good line of products. But it doesn't work for everyone (myself included).

Make sure you do good clarifying wash (sulfate shampoo, no silicones) before you start over!

Yes that line!! I only have the coconut conditioner and the creme brulee, it does seem to help tame my frizz a lot but it has alcohol in it soo I'm not sure as I said I'm new to the CG method and I'm just now actually reading the book and the research I have done says not use alcohol because it is drying so I figure if my hair is already dry with all this frizz than I should avoid alcohol right? I was thinking of trying the KKKT and KKPP I really don't know what to do I know I need to stuck with one product long enough to give it a chance to work the glam glop products are alcohol free ahhhh I'm just all over the place and driving myself crazy!!! Between the research and what she says in the book about the jojoba oil Shea butter and the other oil being essential for the beginning process

I have been using the l'oreal sulfate free cleanser and I am going to keep using that for a little but to try and get all the cones out my hair and then start just co-washing and what not

What are the ingredients in the L'oreal? I don't know what silicones were in the Organix oil, but if they were any of the non-water soluble silicones (dimethicone, amodimethicone, etc.), and if your L'oreal low-poo doesn't include a surfactant (cocomidapropyl betaine, or similar), then you won't be able to thoroughly cleanse your hair of the silicones. You would have to cleanse with a sulfate-rich (Sodium Laurel or Sodium Laureth sulfates), silicone-free shampoo. And then, you could continue cowashing and using your low-poo because the buildup (silicones) would be gone.

I think you should use a sulfate shampoo just once to get all of the build up off and then avoid all silicones from there to get the full benefit of cg. Also, you were asking about the kinky curly line, I use the kckt and kccc and I really like them.

I was really looking forward to trying them but then I seen they contain cetyl alcohol and I thought I should stay away from that because my hair is extremely frizzy and it would further dry my hair so not I am unsure.

If i remember correctly, CG recommends avoiding alcohol in gel, it is ok to have in the cleanser.
Also, Cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol and is not drying. http://www.curlynikki.com/2008/11/ar...rying.html?m=1

Okay so is it okay to have in my leave in conditioner? I remember reading in the cg book that u shouldn't use gel that has alcohol because the gel sits in your hair opposed tobthe clenser that get rinsed out but would it now be the same thing if it was in my leave in conditioner?
