Default Experiment and results....

Hi all

Today I tried a CWC, since I dont yet have the products I want and my hair was icky and full of buildup. I used a shwartzkopf for dull and frizzy condish, then a watered down shampoo, loreal for frizzy hair i think, not a great 'poo, but all I have today. Then I added a little honey to my condish, piled it on my head, showered, then rinsed out. Plopped for 20 mins, then let air dry, no touchies!

The results were very diff from my usual poo and condish and product regime. For one, my hair feels very light, and the curls start higher, closer to the root. My curls are thinner and more separated, not sure if I like this, but its early days. It looks more springy round my face and the back is curlier. Does feel a bit dry to touch though. I'm going to post some pics of the finished result later, to show you what I mean.

College tonight, so I hope it stays Ok....

Love Liz x

Maybe a condish after the CWC would help with the clumping?
I'll watch for pics. I love experimenting!

Well, I'm going to college in an hour and my hair is too big

I'm feeling quite upset now. I know I'm making a big deal of it and its very early days, but I just feel at the minute like I did as a teenager, just wanting to tie it all out of the way. I feel like all people see is my hair when they look at me. I'm not tying it up because my husband gave me a telling off when I suggested it, saying he loved it etc. But he does love it when its mad!

Anyway, I'll just have to go to college and hope not to turn into a big bush by the end. I almost darent look in the mirror atm. I'm kind of seeing this like when I climb mountains, peaks and troughs. This is a trough...hoping for another peak soon!

I love big ole curly hair! Love love love it, I wish mine would swell up. Well it does but it's nothing to write home about. I get some surface frizz and a bit curlier hair but not very big.
Now an undefined mess I'd be upset about but I adore that volume that comes when the humidity works with good curly hair.

For next time I'm wondering if a heavier leave in and stronger gel might help? It sure keeps down volume for me anyway.

I'm sure your hair looks fab ((((((((Hugs))))))))))

Thanks for your kind words. I do feel really strongly that I'm being quite ungrateful, lots of people spend tons on volumizing products etc. The trouble is I am quite low in confidence and I don't like to feel conspicuous!

Thanks for the tip about heavier products, I guess I need to pluck up courage for more experimentation *deep breaths*

Love Liz xx
