I am not sure where to post this. It almost feels a little iffy to do it too. So far the salon section only has positive rewvies it looks like.

I was just wondering about you when I was doing my hair tonight! How is it now that it's been a few days? Any better? I left a semi-bad review for a stylist once, and I would definitely want to know if a fellow curly had not had good results with a stylist so that I could avoid that particular one!

Not much better. It's like 5 inches long all over kinda. That is how short it is.
I am still wondering how she could be so stupid. "I wanna keep the length" (it reached my shoulders when dry even) and then cut it off so much I only have about 5 inches all over????

Yeah, I was thinking the same: I wanna warn others. I mean the woman was very nice and all but she definitely couldn't cut curly or wavy hair. I have never had an experience like this one with a hair dresser. Not even close.

I am sooooooooo sorry to hear what happened to you. I can't find the right stylist either. When I do, they leave for one reason or another. I went to one girl a month ago and she left my hair without any shape. My hair seems frizzier than usual. So, its in a pony tail everyday!!! I am lucky that I can picki it up even though its not even shoulder length. Hang in there--it will grow.
Does anyone have any suggestions for finding a stylist who knows what they are doing with curly hair

Well I wrote a little word of warning in the salon reviews. Well see if it gets posted on there. This woman can cut straight hair I am sure but at least maybe now another curly who looks in the reviews will not have to get her hair butchered like mine.

It's gonna be a long time before it grows out. Luckely it does seem to grow fast.
I wish they had a Devachan trained stylist up here.

I am completely clueless on how to figure this out too. I read on their homepage that she specialized in cutting naturally curly and wavy hair. She said on the phone her hair was curly too and she said things that sounded like she actually knew. Ha! I got completely fooled.

I wish I could cut my own hair. Maybe I really need to look into that.
