Default oils mixture-olive, rosemary, sage

Has anyone ever used an oils mixture to smooth rough, dry spots in her hair? I've read that a mixture of olive, rosemary and sage oils really works. Do you think that there would be water or some kind of base in that, or just straight oils? Where would I get rosemary/sage oil? Any ideas about how this would work? My hair is sooooooooooooooooo dry!
