Does anyone seal with SM Coconut Hibicus shine spray?
If so, how do you use it, and how much?

I use it to SOTC. I spray a pump or two in my hand, rub my palms together to distribute the product on my hands, then scrunch. Any more than that is too much for my fine hair.

I use the Elixir spray, and I've thought about trying the curl one, but I'm afraid the fragrance will not be to my liking. Just the name "coconut and hibiscus" sounds like I won't like the smell.
I've also wanted to try one of their gels but have held back for the same reason.
I use the elixir in multiple ways, sealing being one. (I also use it to SOTC, and for refreshing.)

Jas, the whole line smells awesome to me. Did you know if you purchase at Walgreens or Target, you can take it back if you don't like it?

I use it to seal. It works pretty well. I use at least 20 or so sprays of it.

Thanks Myrna. I didn't know they changed their policy.

The elixer works well for sealing. The curl must is more of a finisher or refresher imo. I like both though.

The moisture spray is the Elixir, Myrna. Unless... Is there another one I don't know about? Lol! It's the one in the Moisture Retention line.
Good to know about Walgreens - or bad to know on account of my inner PJ - lol!!!

I like using it as a mid-day refresher and to add some shine. I get some defrizzing help if I smooth my hair down a little with my hands after spraying it, but the holding properties are mild. I will try using it as a sealer when the weather and dew points get colder/lower. Overall, I do love the product and intend to continue buying it. Love the scent!

I have some shine spray that I have had forever because I rarely use more than two sprays. I find it makes my hair greasy if I use more. The scent is divine. Actually I use it as a hair perfume rather than a hair product. I tried Elixer and didn't like it as a sealer. I used it up mixing it in my dc's and it worked well.

Yeah, I am afraid to "seal" my hair because the last thing I want is greasy curls...

I always was afraid, too. The important thing is to find an oil light enough, and to use a small enough amount. Start really light - jojoba is a good one. Then start with 3 drops. Then go up to 5.
The best thing I've found to seal with is mineral oil. I don't always use it, but i get the best and most consistent results when I do. It doesn't make me greasy at all - but then I typically use 5-7 drops on my long dense (porous) hair, when it's very wet.
Just give it a shot. Be conservative, and maybe do it on a Saturday when you don't have to go to work just in case.

I have coconut oil, since it was so highly recommended here, but it is the consistancy of candle wax now; in the summer, it was pure liquid. I find it difficult to work with.

Lol! Well, it will melt in your hand, of course!
I can't seal with that or EVOO. Since they penetrate the shaft, they are too heavy for me, and don't seal for very long at all. I do use both in DT's, however, and they do very well for me in that respect.
