I've pretty much narrowed down my favorites to Re:Coil and TIGI Curls Rock Amplifier (cyclo-cones). I like MorrocanOil Curl Defining Cream as an occasional cross over to the dark side, and I'm still playing with SS CEJ and CJ CCCC, but haven't used either enough yet to form an opinion on re-purchasing. Stash killing what's left of Deva Styling Cream, Brocato CurlKarma Curl Activating Cream (a-cone), and Aveda Be Curly (part of my experimenting to find CG-friendly alternatives to non-CG products).

Have you ever tried FSG? Or even SM curling soufflé? I'm interested in trying it, and since FSG works so well for me I thought it might be a good option.

I've been out of FSG forever now and just can't seem to find the time to make a new batch. :/ Maybe next week!

I haven't tried FSG- I don't have the patience to make anything more extensive than my gelatin PT (and not sure I want to commit to having use a product everyday in order to use it up before it goes bad). I tried the SM Curl Smoothie with good results (as long as I wasn't heavy-handed), but not the Souffle. I'm not sure if I do better with creams instead of jellies or if I haven't given jellies a decent chance because I'm skeptical.

And hair is still feeling good. I think it also helped that I avoided my roots and just scrunched it into the ends and length.

I find jellies help with clumps, at least. Idk about anything else!

My FSG has never gone bad. I do keep it refrigerated, tho. We have a mini-frig upstairs, and I keep it in there. I think between that and all the additives I use that have preservatives in them, I never run into a problem.

The actual "making" of it wasn't as bad as I expected, tbh. Even with two little ones running around at my feet!

Apparently the haircut made a huge difference. Minimal tangles yesterday and even today (doing some rare second day hair for now- going out tonight). I still prefer CK, but at least now I know I can work with KY.
