Is CJ pattern pusha a firm hold gel?
I'm looking for a firm hold gel and PP gets great reviews, but is it firm hold? I've also been considering spiral solutions firm hold gel, any thoughts on the two?

For me, no unless I used ALOT of it....which I wasn't gonna do because it's expensive. That was in the summer though - I need to try it again now that it's cold and dry.

Actually, come to think of it, is KCCC considered firm hold? That's my hardest holding product, and I want something that just a tad harder hold than that. So I'm not quite sure if looking for medium hold, firm hold, or hard hold. I'm used to soft to no hold.

KCCC gives me crispy curls until I scrunch out the crunch. PP doesn't really go crispy for me at all. If I were to hazard a guess (for my hair), I would categorize it as slightly less hold than KCCC. When I use it, I get huuuuuggggeee waves and/or curls instead of the smaller s pattern waves I have normally.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

i've only had a sample of pattern pusha. it wasn't harder hold than KCCC. SS FHG is NOT a firm hold gel in my opinion. i have an almost full container that i'd sell you for $8 if you want to try it. i haven't found anything harder hold than KCCC that i like much. i've been cyclig through some drugstore gels that are ok but not great... currently using paul mitchell extra body.

Pattern Pusha has absolutely no hold whatsoever for me. I can't even tell it's in my hair, I'm at a loss as to what it's actually supposed to do!

I just tried this for the first time, along with some other curl junkie products. The only issue is that I really need some additional hold. I was just about to come here and ask! My curls are bouncy and look great except they get too frizzy and my hair too big...I just need something to put on at the end. Ideally something with no cones, no protein, and no glycerin. Any suggestions?

Pattern Pusha did not get along with my hair at all. I don't think I have moldable hair. And it flaked up. The CJ Curl Queen is nice and medium hold, it has such a loud smell though (and not the fantastic CCCC smell). And costs a lot.
Thus far I always come back to the Deva Arc Angel no matter what I try. Well ever since Pantene stopped making that spray gel - it was pretty much the same thing I think... I think my hair likes glycerin OK and the hold is not crazy hard so I can use enough to distribute it. And it comes in big quart bottles.

I use KY jelly for my glycerin fix works awesome! I have heard the Walmart's Equate brand works every bit as well, and for $2 something a tube, can't go wrong ;p just cut the tube with the same amount of water. And voila, CHS Curl Keeper for cheap I wish I could at least try PP, I live in Canada and we can't buy it locally, so it has to be internet shopping....too expensive for a product that might not work ;p

The hardest hold gel I've ever found is BioSilk Rock Hard Gelee. The best. It's really hard but scrunchable after it dries. Also makes my hair shiny.

I have PP gel, and I agree with the others that it is does not have hardly any hold to it. I anagain agree that it gives great clumps and shine. I do use this gel as my first layer. I find using more than one layer is the only way to control my frizz. I then layer either arcangel or CJ CQ next, and smasters with KCCC. I some times switch out PPgel with CIAB. But to your question, it definitely dose not have more hold. I think arcangel or curl queen are the best.
