Australian curlies
Aussies, what products do you use? I'm planning another attempt at moving back (fingers crossed for a job). When I was there last time I was in northern Queensland but I have a feeling I'm going to be in Sydney this time. Talk about humidity frizz.
So, what do you use and where do you get it from? Thanks. |
My stash just now looks like this:
Shampoo - Moogoo (health food shop) Carol's Daughter hair milk (strawberrynet) Tesco's anti-dandruff (Tesco! Sent by my parents) Conditioner - Tresemme Naturals (Coles, Priceline, Foodland, whoever has it on special) Aubrey's GPB (iherb) Yes to tomatoes (Priceline, but I don't like it) Leave-in - CJ's Beauticurls (Curlmart) Stylers - CJ's CIAB (Curlmart) Joiwhip (hairhouse warehouse) As you can see I don't buy much on ground here, never seem to find much that I like so I probably haven't been much help! |
Forgot one - I use Kevin Murphy's Motion Lotion too. Get it at a local salon that I don't know the name of.
Not sure how I'd cope in Sydney's humidity but if you're used to Queensland I'm sure you'll manage! Has your job finally sent you running for the other side of the world? |
Thanks Starmie.
Work's to blame. I just need to work out the finances of getting over there and finding a job. What do you think of the tresemme naturals range? I can get that here so I could give it a go. I never really got used to Queensland I ended up a big sweaty mess and frizzy! What's it like in SA? |
CL, will Ed be able to go be an Aussie cat?

while im not currently in australia, (moved to germany cause of my love) i was for a few months last year there. born n raised in south east QLD i do know how bad the humidity can be. I only used conditioner.... n while its been a year now, i have forgotten what its called..... though it was all natural with alot of natural australian organic herbs and oils. annoying me that i cant think of the name, omg, im even googling it to try to find it for you :D
this is good i tried this: Avalon Organics | CONDITIONERS (not the one im thinking about though) yay found it just before i was going to post this, talk about luck! here ya go, its great, i used it manly for a leave in, (conditioner only styling here) though also as a "normal" conditioner. i got it at priceline. Alchemy Jojoba Conditioner « Chirinka Shop its a great find |

I use the moisturising conditioner (Tresemme) and really like it, I'd say it was as near to an hg as I've got.
I've used Alchemy in the past too, that fmashur mentioned, and they're nice products, except for the leave-in co which is dreadful! Sorry to hear work's got so bad for you, I can totally relate, more's the pity. We brought our dog out with us when we emigrated and it cost a small fortune so take deep breaths before you read your quote (He was a German Shepherd though so a bit bigger than Ed!). |

Sorry for the dp - gremlins about it would seem.

Friends of a friend are moving to Perth next year and taking their two cats. It's costing them about £1000 per cat.
He's worth it though. He's been with me through two surgeries and a major bout of depression. Also he's cute and my boy. |
Oh, I know - we didn't even contemplate not bringing our dog with us. People thought we were mad. We thought they were!
And Adelaide has a very dry heat, one of the reasons we chose to come here. |
You weren't kidding about taking a deep breath. Omfg!
|
Oh dear, was it so bad?!
|
£800 more than I thought. I've had a few more quotes that weren't as high but it will cost what it costs.
