so I like my deva no poo, but it's expensive, so I've been trying other sulfate free shampoo's (ology & yes to carrots) but they both lather. I thought lather was bad. I thought lather stripped the hair and my curls of the oils they need. so what's the deal. Can I use a sulfate free shampoo that lathers or look for one that doesn't lather, and if so what are good ones???

Thanks

Hey check out hair products by Giovanni. I suggest the Giovanni Tea tree Shampoo. I literally only put a dime size amount of shampoo on each section of my hair, and it lathers so well.

It can be found at vitamin shops, whole foods stores, and I have even spotted it in several Targets and Walmarts. The tea tree shampoo runs at 6 bucks. There are 2 other types of shampoos to choose from too, beside the Tea tree I believe.

There are a number of non-sulfate ingredients that will produce lather, so don't let the presence or absence of lather persuade you one way or another. Most people who aren't familiar with CG still feel more comfortable with lather, so companies typically keep this in mind when they design products. Choose shampoos based on how they make your hair feel after you rinse.

I second the Giovanni TTTT, it's great! I don't use it every day, but any time my head itches or I just feel like it needs it, I use it. I love the tingly feeling it gives me! If you use it every single day, it may be drying. Just use a small amount.
