What has helped my hair.
Such a simple thing: I looked at pics of my hair before I went CG, and although my curls are better now, there was something really nice about my curl formation back then. I remembered: Hair spray. Yes. A spritz of Aveda's Brilliant when I scrunch in my gel, over mousse. I have been very happy with my hair the last few days. I personally like some crunch in my hair for shine and hold, but Ill bet I could scrunch it out and still have good curls. I recommended giving it a try. A little goes a long way.

Interesting idea! How does it work on day 2? Do you have to add more water or more product?
Is this hairspray CG?

I sometimes use GF flexible hold hairspray! I don't find it drying, and it really helps on a day I want/need extra hold, or if I SOTC and my hair feels too soft.
It doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff or overly gritty/sticky like a lot of hairsprays can.

Funny you post this because since winter has started to settle in I've been thinking I could use something extra and had been considering hair spray.

My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)
Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.

M1001, that is partly what motivated me. Curlypearl, I dont do second day hair - I low poo daily, so I cant answer that. Its Avenda's Brilliant hair spray;it has PEG 12 dimethicone. Jas, how does it work for you 2nd day?

Tends to work fine for 2nd day for me - though I typically don't re-wet for 2nd day. I might gently scrunch/smooth in some oil, but that's typically it. Once in a while i lightly spritz water/condish onto the ends, or even some spray gel, but my hair often gets "angered" easily when dry.
Not sure how spritzing a lot of water or whatever would go, but I think I've done it before and had not additional problems to what I normally have.
