Am I the only one with this problem?

I have an issue with one side of my head being curlier than the other. My left side is a 2c/3a while my right side is more like a 2b/2c (depending on the area). The back of my head seems to be between the two. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there anyway to fix it?

Low-Poo: TJ Refresh
Co-Wash: SN Green Apple, V05 Kiwi Lime
RO/LI: GVPCB
Stylers: All in one spray (Water, Epsom Salt, GVPCB, Apricot Oil, Grapeseed Oil), CK, HE Set Me Up Gel
SOTC: Apricot Oil
Mine seems to be that way...the left side is less curly than the right, although I think it might just *appear* to be that way because I part my hair on the left, so I have much more hair on the right. Still annoying, because I feel like I scrunch the heck out of the left side and it falls really fast, while the right side remains curly and bouncy after minimal scrunching.
2c, fine, extremely dense, color-treated, high porosity.

Mine seems to be less curly where there is more hair (the right side) because of my part. Maybe its just the canopy overall that isn't as curly as the underlayers.

I have this problem too, only because of my part. The under layer of my hair is pretty much straight

The crown of my hair is the least curly and more wavy section, which is weird considering exactly how curly my hair is. It's also the part least exposed to damage...I just don't get it. Since it's in the transition stage it's at it's worse, some parts haven't really curled yet.
Yes! I have the same problem. I have grown-out side bangs on the left side that are very weak waves (and very frizzy!), while the right side is quite wavy and much less frizzy. I don't know if it's because of the way I have it parted? It's a side part with more hair on the left with my side bangs. It's frustrating me too! Hopefully someone can help...

If you're a side sleeper and are favoring one side more than the other, that could be a reason for the less formed curls. Try pineapple-ing your hair at night if you think that's the case.
I actually never thought of that. I do tend to sleep more on the less curly side. I will try to pineapple. My hair is probably too short though. Its just above my shoulders dry.

my whole head is a mix, the crown being 3b, most of my hair 3a, the 'windshield' around my face more of a 2c.
the right side is somewhat less curly then the left, and my stylist pointed this out to me a few years back so he always cuts a few more 'pieces' into it (deva cut) and then it's not a problem. actually, that is what i need in a stylist, the hallmark of a good curly stylist, deva or not, who knows there very well may be different curl types on your head and can blend them all in successfully.

every time i think about saving $$ on a haircut, i remember all the hairstylists i've tried and all the horrible haircuts that took months/years to grow out. i rather stretch the time between good haircuts. i have waaayyy too many diverse patterns going on on my head.

I think will find most curlies have more than one curl type. That is why it is more important to know your hair properties which will encompass all curl types you may have.

texture - medium/fine, porosity - low/normal, elasticity - normal
co-wash - NaturelleGrow Coconut Water or Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm Bark & Blue Malva Cleansing Conditioners
LI - KCKT mixed w/ SM C & H Curl & Style Milk
DC - NG Mango & Coconut H2O or Chamomile/Brdck Root
Gel - SM souffle (winter), KCCC (summer) or CR Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel (year round)
Sealers - Virgin Coconut Oil, Avocado butter, Aloe butter
Ayurvedic treatments - Jamila Henna, Sukesh, Aloe Vera Powder, Hibiscus Powder
.

My hair is definitely straighter underneath, so on the side with less hair, it is that underlayer that is showing. So I do look less curly on that side.
2c, fine, extremely dense, color-treated, high porosity.
