A perm can cause chemical damage and a curling iron can cause heat damage. I'd rather just let my hair do what it does – with the right products and a nice haircut to give it it's best shape, of course!

I completely agree with PoemaXX, I would never let those things even come NEAR my hair, I prefer beautiful natural curls and healthy hair I recommend you to try the CG method!

I wouldn't either. Even back in the 70s and 80s when guys were getting perms I never did though I was tempted. I did, however, let my sister put my hair in hot curlers (just for laughs) and the outcome proved why getting a perm would be bad. LOL I've used the curling iron a few times but would never make a habit of it. Nothing like natural curls.

mi friends always do the iron curls cuz it makes them have natural waves like bella from twilight, but I don't know if you can achieve those results with a perm.

What is the CG method btw?

I could've voted a number of ways on this one.

I voted neither because both are bad. I do like my hair the way it is though. But if I had to choose one or the other it would be the iron over the perm. Those chemicals are WAYYYYY too damaging. And I wouldn't do the iron curls without protectant.
