Cold/warm water

I am just curious to hear about your experiences with regards to the influence of washing your hair with cold or warm water.

I like warm (okay, extremely warm) showers but if I wash my hair with the same temperature, it gets all greasy afterwards. This is not really the case when I wash my hair at 38 degrees celcius.

Does anyone else experience the same or know what the cause might be? I am not too fond of showering at a low temperature now that it's winter (I always have to leave the window open but it's freezing outside).

I don't know what the cause of that might be, but I do know that hot showering is bad for your hair (and skin!).

Btw, I always rinse my hair with ultra cold water (in the sink) after showering, that REALLY enhances shine. Love it.
