Just wanted to pop in and say Kitschy, your hair is gorgeous.

And so is yours, mickalia!
Kitschy likes this.

I know!! Look at your end curls, Kitschy! I'm envious! I wish mine did that. Sometimes I think I still have old damage from my pre-cg days of flat irons, etc.

My curls aren't nearly as tight as yours, and my ends will never curl like that, but hopefully they'll continue to improve.

Back to the OP - you'll have to KUP on how things go after your cut on Friday and the following week of styling experiments!! Good luck!!

Well, I got my cut, and it looks awesome styled straight, but I'm a little nervous about the choppiness of the layers. Here's a straight pic just for fun, I'll upload a pic once I've fixed it natural again.
I'm also thinking its going to be even more of a challenge not getting it to look wavy vs curly since so much weight has been taken off... :-/

Your cut looks great looks like you definitely achieved the Giselle look you were going for with it straightened:

Not sure how you would achieve that without heat - you could try twisting damp hair into a bun and leaving it over night. That might result in looser, more beachy waves. You could also try combing products through with a wide tooth comb or Denman brush, and then avoid any kind of scrunching.

Post us a curly pic too

My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!
