Default Do you like my new haircut? Short and asymmetrical...cut it myself

I haven't been on this site in forever, wow. But I was curious what a bunch of other curlies would think about this hairstyle, most people I know like it, but I remember last time I made a change (cut my bangs blunt and straightened them) a lot of people here didn't like that, so I'm just curious.
I uploaded three pictures, one right before I cut it, my most recent picture, and one recently after I cut it and straightened....not a big fan of the straightened one, some guy told my my nose looked huge haha.

I come on here when I want hair advice because if you type in "curly hair" anywhere, all you get is advice on how to curl it. I used to get on here a lot when I was like, 12 or 13 (and first figuring out how to stop straightening my hair without being bullied), so if you happen to see some older posts of mine, shh. No judging.

I think it looks fabulous! I love asymmetrical looks. And a funny side note, this is exactly the cut my 10 year old daughter described to me that she wants, lol Also, cannot believe you cut it yourself - way to go!

My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!

Thank you! Although if my hair had been as amazing long as yours is I wouldn't have cut it xD. Tell your daughter I think she's stylish haha!

I will tell her - and show her your picture - she'll love it I sometimes wish I could cut my hair short like that, but it doesn't look right with my face shape. But my daughter's face is heart shaped, like yours, and she looks fabulous with short hair (and so do you!). And I agree, the asymmetrical look is so trendy and fresh.

I think that cut looks really great on you, you did a good job cutting your own hair! Your nose doesn't look big to me either lol You're really pretty

I love it!!!!!! It's so cute!! Looks great! It's a good balance which is sometimes hard to achieve on your own!

I do like it a little better curly - but not bc of your nose! What a jerk! You should have punched him in the face and told him that made HIS nose look huge! Lol!!

Wow it looks amazing! If or whenever I get brave enough to cut my hair I want it to look like that! I love the way it looks when it's curly. I guess it might be a little easier to maintain too.

Aw shucks! That is me. Thanks for the compliment! It was an artsy shot though -- I can't stand having hair in my face while I work! Lol

I totally love it -- it absolutely suits you, and I'm in awe that you cut it yourself!

I did something like that back in the 80s, when I was in my 20s. (Although I had my mom do it -- she's a hairdresser.) I have always loved asymmetrical looks!

Beautiful!

I hope you all know how much I appreciate this!

well, more or less i just cut whatever seemed out of place...haha don't worry, I never cut anyone's but my own. It didn't turn out as I'd hoped at first, but I ended up liking it and I'm getting better trimming it over time as I figure out what I like.
So basically I cut off all my hair past the nape of my neck (it was so much, I was in shock. I've never had hair that short) and it looked like the attachment I'm adding, with the dopey face. And I just kind of chopped what I didn't like in a shape closest to what I was hoping for...I hated it in the back at first, but it's growing on me.
