Default I need cones

So I just have this uber curly hair that curls in on itself and tangles if u look at it cross eyed! I went thru abt a year trying to be cg...I love my new curly hair after I had been straightening for years. I learned how to treat my hair. But I do remember the crying in the shower cause the coneless conditioners didn't get thru my tangles and it was awful. So I've resigned myself to using them. I use lo poo mostly...try to use no poo frequently...and occasionally a regular shampoo. I was on Terri LaFlesh's website and she was talking abt coney conditioners as leave ins. Anyone try that? Her hair looks pretty awesome. When my hair is long...I need to put all kinds of stuff in to be able to get a comb thru it. I'm gonna get it cut soon and my hair curls much less when shorter so I'm gonna cut down on the cones after that. Maybe a bit above shoulder will work.

Anyone used either conditioners with cones as their leave in...or some kind of leave in..finishing product with cones?

Anyone with crazy hair like mine?

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

I don't consider cones the "debbil." Some people with gorgeous hair use cones. Use whatever works best for you - cg is not the panacea for everyone.

Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Experimenting with cones & sulfates while the dews are high. Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.

It is true. I'm grateful for the book...it taught me to love my curls and how to make them look good. When my hair is long....it is completely impossible! I have been leaving a bit of my coney conditioner in after my shower. It helps define it...gives me hold in this cold weather...and the next day in the shower...it detangles easier

Have you thought about washing with a lower sulfate shampoo and conditioner maybe once a month and doing the cg method in between? Or just using a clarifier once a month? Just a suggestion

I can't use sulfates too much or I start to need them. My scalp over produces oil and I get greasy looking roots
