This is the growth I have seen so far over a month. It's definitely noticeable in the bangs, where before they touched the top of my eyebrows, now they're touching my eyelids. It's not much, but it's something. I just want it long enough again that it doesn't look weird when I wear it all curly. Right now, I straighten the bangs even when I wear it curly

I'm worried about heat damage for sure. But I don't know what to do at this point, since my bangs are still pretty short. I'm hoping they'll grow enough in the next month that they won't look too weird when they're curly, because honestly I love my curly hair. I don't know what I was thinking getting these bangs.

Curly hair is the BEST lol ..but anywho.Yea maybe you should just throw out your straighteners or let someone else borrow them..Bcuz you will be a lot happier once your hair does get longer and youll have the best curls! I had heat damage to where my hair looked crinkly instead of curly. and I knew that I would never stop straightening my hair bcuz i didnt feel pretty enough.. So i just cut it all off .and it forced me to become comfortable with myself with hardly any hair and without straightening it! So its something to think about!

You and your hair are both so pretty! Gorgeous curls!
I think food has a lot to do with hair growth. If your diet has a considerate amount of calcium (milk, yogurt, cheese) you should have a little faster growth (and stronger hair) than those who don't get too much calcium. I know many people take vitamin supplements to encourage growth. In the long hair website the ladies swear by castor oil too. I only use it on my lashes and I can tell you that it does stimulate growth. I haven't tried it on my scalp though (on a regular basis). I think I'm going to start doing it twice a week and I will let you know the results.

Thank you!! You have any pics to share? And yes I was taking Biotin, It breaks my skin out though and I keep wanting to try Castor Oil. I think i will once I do a little shopping this month. But.. yes the calcium intake sounds like it can be a big part of the health of your hair..Unfortunately, I dont eat breakfase.. so I barely drink milk..and I dont eat yogurt. This is a great theory though I may change my diet though just because of this! Plus Id probably lose weight too..WIN WIN!

OMG you need to eat breakfast! It affects your metabolism and sets you up for what you'll crave later. Energy, mood, cognitive processes, let alone useless crap like your hair, are greatly affected when you skip breakfast.

I feel your pain on this - I have to leave for work by 6:30, and that's just way too early for me to eat breakfast. But I started noticing how that was affecting me (diet, energy, skin, nails/hair, everything) and started taking stuff with me that I can eat at work around 8 or so when I'm ready for breakfast. I work in an office, so I have access to a refrigerator, microwave, etc. so I can pretty much bring whatever I want. But I usually opt for oatmeal as its quick and filling.

I wake up at 5:30am. When I grocery shop I keep in mind what my weekday breakfast needs to be.
Eggs or Ham (cooked the night before)
Fruit to go: Bananas, Oranges...save the strawberries for the weekend.
Veggies (like carrots)/Nuts
Oatmeal/Cereal
Yogurt
Nothing is more important than your health. I gave up coffee my freshman year of college. Get good sleep and eat real food from all the groups and you won't need it.
