Question about KCCC
So ill get right to the question...what ingredient in KCCC causes it to take FOREVER to dry???... I love it...but dang...

I don't know if it's any "one" ingredient or just a result of the ingredients in the formula when they're all blended, but it definitely can take a ridiculous amount of time to dry. I tried it without the leave-in, and it did dry faster, but it was so crunchy it cracked, and when I scrunched I got frizz. Plus, the middle parts of my clumps still weren't dry.
The ingredients say there is "marshmallow" in it. I don't know if marshmallow extract is as gooey as the sugar marshmallows we put in hot chocolate, but maybe it's the culprit. I have a bottle of agave nectar I use for sweetening tea, and it's super thick, too, like honey. Aloe sap can be pretty thick, too. I found a curl custard I prefer to KCCC and one of the reasons is it doesn't take as long to dry, but also it doesn't get as crunchy. The crunch is more "rubbery" (if that makes sense...). It's 4Naturals Spring Back Custard. Ingredients: Water, Sucrose, Propylene Glycol, Pectin, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Citric Acid, Fragrance |
I was thinking the same thing about it...I like it but dont really love it...but I seem to reach for it everytime...ugh...and if I use too much...im up all night diffusing my hair dry...lol...I just ordered SSCMJ and SSFHG...I like to use products with either low amounts of glycerin or none at all...Just causes crazy amounts of frizz...Ill have to look into your curling custard...thanks for the input:)

KCCC was a product I could never get to work consistently. It would tease me the odd time and give me perfect hair, but I could never depend on it. Even with diffusing my hair, it took forever to dry. I gave up on it for myself.
Ironically it works gone for my daughter's wavy hair. She diffuses it until it is firm and the curls have formed. Her hair is really long. She just pineapples it and goes to bed. It always looks great, but is often still damp in the am. |
Really? This is news to me.
