New Aussie products

What confuses me is that Gel+Water was strong hold, and this one says flexible hold. I got the last one at Wal-mart, but I'm scared to try a light-hold gel on a work day. I could definitely use shine though.

So I was at Wal-Mart today with the $2 off 2 Aussie products coupon in-hand & their shelves for Aussie products were practically bare!

I managed to scrounge the last bottle of Moist Conditioner. At first I accidentally grabbed one of the three remaining bottles of Moist Shampoo until I double-checked the label.

I had to settle for the large bottle with pump 'cause there were none of the smaller squeeze/pour bottles, other than one of the 2-in-1 Shampoo+Conditioner.

But I wasn't there for shampoo. And if I was & wanted any size of Mega, I would've been SOL.

I checked to make sure the Moist Conditioner didn't have the cycl-cone in it. It must be the new stuff 'cause it doesn't have it & it does have sea kelp.

I also bought a bottle of the repackaged 3-Minute Miracle, which they only had a few of, but plenty of the old packaging of Deeep.

If I went there for styling products, I would've been SOL, because there were no gels of any type, one hairspray, no Sprunch, no mousse, etc.!

They had a few bottles of the Hair Insurance, but I don't care for spray leave-in conditioners. They make vinyl floors too slippery, like conditioners do to tubs!

Then I went to Target & their shelves for Aussie were the same way! They're obviously getting ready to stock the new stuff.

And when I was at Walgreens the other day they still had shelves full of the old Aussie products.
well dang it I was hoping someone would use the new gel and see if it was like the old gel+water
I guess I'll have to hunt this down friday. If my shelves aren't bare too. I did see some aussie stuff at my Walmart so I'm hopeful.

Let us know how that moist works out. The 3mm I don' think they've change, I keep forgetting to get some of that. That's the one thing I know is cg at the store and not like water.

The 3MM still has simethicone in it, towards the middle or end of the ingredients list. I use this for a deep conditioner once a month after clarifying, leaving it on the rest of my shower under a plastic cap.

I may not be using the Moist for a while though since I have 5 conditioners in the shower already!

But wait, my son uses 1 of those conditioners & another is EMB that I go sparingly on & only use once a week as sort of a deep conditioner after gentle shampooing, so I guess I can actually say I have 3 regular conditioners & 2 are half empty/full!

I'm really bargaining here, huh?
Oh you're awful!

Since when does 3mm have simethicone in it? I must be thinking the old formula dang it. I wonder if Sally's knockoff is off the old formula? I used to get a big bottle of that all the time.
Ah well back to the drawing board!

You should see what it looks like under the sink! I don't know if I'll be able to find room to hide the Moist!
Dude you should see mine! I've moved from the counter which is full to under the sink to in the closet on the shelf with the towels. Now mind you a lot of that is stocking up on my discontinued conditioner but still!
Oh crap I forgot, I have some stuff in some rolling drawers, two sets. But dang it I tried to put those on the swap board no one wants them!

When they complain just show them this post and they'll hesh it up!

I found room, AFTER moving the towel sets to the hallway's linen closet! Now my "boys" are going to grouch that I'm always moving things around on them!

Always around here actually equates to rarely.

I saw it at WalMart the other day. I was majorly tempted to get some, since I used to love it so much, and gave it up when I realized that cyclopentasiloxane was a cone.

searching for products that work...
I got some of the Instant Freeze Gel. My results were okay, not the Aussie norm. Some spider weby frizz...curls were a little skinnier than I prefer but not stringy...no real curl boosting but okay. I actually handled my hair more than normal and didn't notice any frizz increase from that , though I did have a constant moderate level of spider weby frizz (usually caused by the fibers that create the hold being too sticky so that hairs stick to anything and migrate out from the clumps when they stick to something else).

Btw, it's very, very thick and kinda cloudy. Walmart was doing a complete reset on Saturday so I'm hoping for more Aussie choices this week.

Oh, I compared the ingreds of the Mega, Gel+Water, and new Shine Gel, and the new gel looks ingred-similar to a hybridization of the Mega and Gel+Water. The Mega gave me stringy rather than piecey curls, so I'll have to see about that one.

I think I eased the first one, I have the abba weightless up right now, I have a bumble and bumble set of shampoo, rinse out and curl creme and aveda be curly. Just a weird assortment of stuff that's not popular now.

One day I'm sooooooooooo tossing some stuff to make room for the stuff overflowing from the counter

Dang it they didn't have 3MM at my store but I did get the new Aussie Moist to try out. They didn't have the gels either grrrrrrrr
Ah well the conditioner has aloe in that, yay! Don't get me wrong I love my beloved but I had to try this one at least once!

Your stores had pretty bare Aussie shelves too?

I called two Rite Aid stores yesterday in search of the elusive Freeman Sea Kelp. One store isn't going to carry any Freeman hair care, & maybe hand & body care too, anymore. The other store has bare shelves 'cause they're waiting for their new Freeman products to come in, which may take 2-3 weeks.

Maybe by then I'll be done with some of my conditioners!
Anyone try any of the new Aussie conditioners or stylers yet?

I've tried the Shine, Catch the Wave, and Insurance rinse-out conditioners. The Shine and Catch the Wave didn't have enough moisture for me at all. Insurance had more moisture and was thicker in my hand as well. However, I haven't gotten consistant hair days from it (but it is the change of seasons time when my hair is weird).

I tried the Shine Gel, and, while it looks and feels like my beloved, discontinued Gel+Water, it behaved a little more like Mega gel. I'm still working on how much to use to see if I can tweak my results. Oddly, when I use more, my curls get more piecey-clumpy; with less, they're more skinny. That's backward from 99% of gels I've tried. Maybe it's because of the "flexible hold" rather than the medium hold G+W had where more gel has more hold and less gel doesn't have enough hold to hold larger clumps together. It's still weird for a gel, even if I can rationalize it.
Laurabeth,

What about trying the moist conditioner, since it no longer has cyclopentasiloxane?

I haven't tried mine yet. I think it's #3 in the holding pattern under my sink.
