L'Oreal EverCurl line - anyone try this?

I bought and tried the conditioner. I love the scent! I just wish companies that cater to curly haired ppl would freakin understand that 8 ounces is nowhere near enough and we need bigger bottles !

Other than that, its a pretty decent conditioner.

Cleanse: SM Moisture Retention or Suave Naturals shampoos
Co-Wash: Suave Naturals, L'Oreal EverCreme or EverCurl
RO/Detangler: Tresseme Naturals, GVPCB
Leave-In: SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie, TN, GVPCB
Styler: EcoStyler, GF Pure Clean gel, KCCC

Just discovering my hair likes protein!

Im under the impression that the cleansing conditioner foams, is that so? Also...how good is the leave in?

I am obsessed with the scent, it smells like the beach or the ocean to me, with sunscreen. I like the smell of sunscreen. Weird, i know lol

The cleansing conditioner seems to work for my kids (2a and 3a) but it made my scalp itch like crazy. 2 days later and I'm still itching.

My daughter whose 2a hair can become a rats nest in an instance is now on day 3 or nearly tear free brushing w/o wash (her waves are loose enough that they come back after dry brushing).

So, I guess it wins 2 out of 3.

But I'm still satisfied with it, though I agree with you that larger bottles would be ideal.

I'm really liking the fragrance too. You can't really get a good sense of it unless you dispense the product (the bottle has a slightly unpleasant odor that takes away from the cleanser). IMHO, it's not overwhelming and it doesn't clash with my stylers.

2c/3a, BSL, medium, low porosity
Low-poo: Bobeam and CV poo bars; Acure Argan Oil & Stem Cell
Conditioner: Acure Argan Oil & Stem Cell; Desert Essence Shea
Stylers: Sweet Curls Elixir Curl Cream; SM CES
PT: BASK Whiskey Soak
So do you use the cleansing conditioner as a shampoo type product? Do you need to use a conditioner as well?
I have 2C hair and have been experimenting like crazy with products. CG does not completely work for me due to the fact that I have an extremely dry scalp.
Also, does anyone know info about clarifying shampoos? Their purpose?
Thanks!
So I dropped in on the Product Reviews page, and lo and behold there is a new line from L'Oreal geared specifically towards curlies! But like the Paul Mitchell line, not everything is CG.

The shampoo, cream-gel, and spray-on oil all have cones , but the cleansing conditioner, RO conditioner and leave in all look kosher. There's only a couple of reviews, but they sound great, and I'd love to try this out. I'm not seeing this online anywhere - CVS, Target, Walgreens etc. Has anyone seen this in stores?

It may have been the "weightless" aspect to it that made the top layer of my hair completely separate from the bottom...and behave differently, too. I tried using the whole line (shampoo, condish, leave-in, and cream-gel) and my hair was sticky and hay-like. So I switched stylers to what I had been using before (PM Sculpting Foam, Super Skinny, and Round Trip)...hair was softer, but still the layers were separated and not super defined. Tried a different condish and things were better, but still not perfect. Just my $0.02
Thank God, another 2c..Lol..I have extremely dry scalp too..I love the Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner and deep conditioner but it's too expensive.. So, I'm going to try the Evercurl line next week and post the results..
