Default Experiment #2 - shammy

Ok, so I bought "The Absorber", a super absorbent shammy. (think "Sham-wow").

Today I tried it with a flour sack towel over it in case the rubber texture might cause some friction or whatever. I think next time I'll try it without the towel and see what happens.

I'm plopping now, so we'll see when it comes down.

My hope it that it will help with drying time and with curls being pulled out by extra weight of water.

My concerns are that it will pull out TOO much moisture, or perhaps too much product.

We shall see!!

Ok. So it definitely pulled more moisture out than regular towels or even MF towels.

I think I left the plop on too long. It would have been fine if my hair was more wet, but with all that excess removed, the plop should have been on for less time.

All in all it did well. I'm going to have to keep experimenting with it - I do think it shows promise!!

Ok, so update. Failure. Lol! Today The Absorber is stiff as a board!! If I re-wet it it would back to normal, but it will dry hard again.

SO, it's a failure in the product choice. The concept may still have some merit. I may try again with a different shammy - one that doesn't dry hard! Lol!

Or who knows - maybe I could try this one again. I can re-wet, wring out, and then use it.

Of course it still wouldn't travel well, so I'd have to find a different one anyhow.

So there's an update!
