My FSG smells weird

Not just weird but a bit puke inducing. The FSG worked very well but I don't understand what is causing the smell. I made it around 2-3 days ago. Added two capsules of vitamin e and few drops of EO. everything I used were well within their expiration dates except for the EO and I think thats what causing the sickly sweet smell. I thought vitamin e and essential oils worked well as preservatives. I was hoping that the mixture would last me a good 2-3 weeks, taking into account that it's really cold hereWhat went wrong?What do you guys use as preservatives? How long does it last?

You need to use real preservative if you want your FSG to last. It goes rancid quickly without using preservatives. If you don't want to use preservative, you have to freeze it in small batches and keep what you are using in the refrigerator.

For your own safety, I'd dump it out.

Hell yeah I'm dumping it out . It just smells wrong. I'm making a fresh batch tomorrow . Freezing sounds like a good idea. What proper preservative do you recommend? Grapefruit seed oil is not available where I live . And buying online is not an option for me

Grapefruit seed extract is not a "real" preservative. If you can't buy online, I doubt you'll find anything I suggest on the ground.

Do you use fsg? How do you use it? On damp, wet or dry hair? How much do you use? enough to cover every strand or just a bit ? I'm afraid that using too much will make my hair greasy..

I rotate products, so never use any one product more then once in five days, if that. I use all products on soaking wet hair. FSG is the only product of which I use a lot. It should make squish noises like seaweed.
