Hair Porosity!!

Hey Everyone, im sort of a rookie to Naturally curly.com.. i cant even begin to tell you just how long it took for me to figure out how to post a new thread! >.< But anyways... I Decided to do the porosity test to find out what kind of porosity my hair had.... I did both tests described in the Hair Types column on this website under Porosity... I smoothed my hair strand upward and felt some bumps, but when i put a strand in water, it floated on the top.. Do i have High porosity or Low porosity?? Im super Confused! :sad2:

This article gives you other characteristics of high, normal, and low porosity hair. It will help you better determine your hair's porosity. http://kendrathaler-hair.blogspot.co...osity.html?m=1

The float test can be unreliable. I've seen instances where someone's hair floated, but they later found out it was actually normal or even low porosity. Instead, I would look at the strand test and how your hair usually behaves. The link Ml001posted has good info. If you want a definitive answer, you can also order a hair analysis from here.
