oh Jas...we are kindred spirits. haha!
I don't have twins but two boys, 3 and 18 months (22 months apart). They rule the roost.

OK, I just worked out, boys are watching Mickey Mouse CLubhouse, so I'll put some oil/conditioner mix on my hair. So when they nap, I can shower and see what I can do with this mess.

Eh, it was weird. I got a lot of curl, but it was stringy and dry. It dried super fast, too? I don't know what that was about...? I'm totally clueless about what happened to my hair yesterday. So etching I've never had happen. Not good.

What oil/condish combo did you use? What did you use to wash it out with?

What did you do with your between applying it and washing it?

And did you do everything the same as far as RO, LI, styling goes afterward?

I used GSO and trader joes TTT to sit, then I washed with TJ's TTT shampoo. I didn't rinse upside down like I usually do, and I combed it when I got out, so I think that contributed.

See, idk much about the TTT. And I just started using GSO - but I've only used it as a refresher on dry hair.

I wonder if GSO is too light to pre-poo with?? It is the lightest oil I've ever worked with, for sure.

I usually just use condish, but I have thrown a little EVOO in there. I've also done it with EVCO, both mixed with condish and on its own.

I also mix a little water in with it when I apply it most of the time.

I really love the Shea Moisture line!! Though I do still have to use a slightly stronger low poo at times, and I do still clarify once a month or so.

I lightly dampen my hair, finger detangle then lightly rake/scrunch a pea sized amount of the souffle that's been emulsified in my palms with a little water. Pineappling and satin pillowcases are a must.

Are you talking about the SM elixir? Bc that could NEVER e sprayed directly for me, either! Not sure about the hold and shine - I've never tried it.

The Elixir is in the same size bottle, but it's part of the moisture retention line.

I love it, but it's definitely not something I can spray directly on my hair! It goes onto my palm first.

I've tried them both. Neither can go directly into the hair for me. The Hold and Shine isn't quite as heavy as the Elixer but nonetheless, a little goes a long way.

My hair is always shiny when I use flaxseed gel.

Also, sleeping on a silk pillowcase does help.

Ok, so, I got some suave coconut conditioner, mixed with some water and some grape seed oil and shook it up, I sprayed my hair lightly in sections.
It ended up really good today! Oh, I out KCCC in as we'll, scrunched it in. Yesterday I had she smoothie in, but I was just trying anything! I'm desperate!
