Getting haircut tomorrow, I need help! (pics inside)

It seems ever since winter started, my hair is curling up much more than usual. It seems that the top of my hair is thicker than the bottom or something. I posted pics before and after. The 2 pics on the left are before and the one on the right is now) Do I just need to trim the layers? What is going on with it? Please write back asap! thanks!

Wow your hair reminds me of mine from when it was mostly all just long with no/few long layers. I would think trimming your layers would potentially add even more volume to your hair, and it sounds like that's not what you're looking for. So maybe just make sure that when they cut it, they don't cut it too short up toward the crown area. Just maybe long layers again, at best.

(Edited this because my last post was a bit confusing.)

So I trimmed the long layers in my hair. But I still have the problem with my hair curling up so much. Is it because of the winter weather? Does anyone know of any good products that will weigh my hair down? Please write back asap, Im desperate!
Ive seen some products in the curly section that say hair extenders, or the like. They are supposed to make the curls looser. how about one of those? I think shea has one.
