BB Styling Mudd

Just got BB Styling Mudd in the mail today! I'll update with a review soon :) She added agave and pumpkinseed oil

So far, I looooove this! I used a ton more of this than any styling product I usually use, and it still wasn't crunchy at all. In fact, my hair is really soft and is curling wonderfully with nice volume. The add-ins are perfect for my low porosity hair, and it's really shiny. Also, Erin's customer service is GREAT. I already put this product in my signature, haha, but I think it will be a keeper. I will update if anything changes.

I love BB styling mudd! You also reminded me to put it in my signature lol. Haven't updated in awhile.

... I emailed her from the etsy website, but she has not responded yet...just wondering if there was another/better way to contact her....

Don't worry; she'll respond. She's in the process of a move right now, so it might be delayed but she'll get back to you.

Thanks....I did finally find the notice about this...She said she would have the shop up and running on the 19th....That seems like forever away...lol

Maybe in the meantime you can buy some okra and make some gel and test it to see if it would work for you before placing an order :) There a few recipes here on NC.com. If it works well, BB will make one for you with great add-ins and some preservative so you wouldn't have to keep in the freezer or keep making batches

Is this stuff any thicker than her gelee? I tried that and it was so runny. It did absolutely nothing but make my hair look way overconditioned and limp. I honestly was not impressed, at all. It was like a good-smelling liquid, thinner than VO5 conditioner. I've had MUCH better results making my own FSG (following her own no-fail recipe in the recipe section) and cooking it to between egg white and booger consistency.

The Mudd interests me, but not if it's the same consistency as her gelee.

dresdendoll 01-13-2013 11:48 AM

Hmmm...
For my hair, the consistency is perfect. However, I've never tried the Gelee, so I can't really compare. I'm sorry! For me, it's by no means thick, but it isn't runny. If I pour it onto my hand, it doesn't run out like a puddle; it stays in place. If you want, I can post a picture?

That might be helpful. Her gelee ran off my hand. Not knocking BB because her no fail recipe works fine for me. Maybe it's because I can cook it & customize it. Once i made my own FSG, I was really surprised at how runny her gelee was! I figured she was using the same recipe she posted here.

Do you add any additional ingredients while making the fsg...Really would like to make this next week...I also like the consistency of KCCC more...

I only add some NPF since my hair loves protein.
