washing effects?

so i was thinking about a problem ive been having for awhile. and thought if it would help if i washed my hair with low poo more often it would help. so, i guess my question is, what does (shampooing, cowashing, low pooing), do for your hair? like WHY do you wash your how?
i hope i didnt confuse anyone? looking forward reading your answer, thanks!

my hair: 3c, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

Glad you posted this because it's been going through my mind. I'm curious how people can tell their hair needs to be washed, as opposed to co-washed? and how often?
I wash with Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle shampoo every sunday morning. My hair unglobs and feels nice and clean but, it seems that it's dry after, like no matter how much or what product I put in, it's unmanageable and just does whatever the heck it wants.
I co wash every other day. My 2nd day hair is usually weird so I wear it up, but it looks beautiful up, so that's OK. I almost like it better up than down...no actually I do like it better. OK, off topic.

Hopefully there are more responses so I get some ideas, too.

"The Longer the Hair, the Bigger the Blob."

Porous, very dense but fine hair. Medium everything else.
CoWash: Tressemee naturals
RO: Generic biolage and generic joico k-pak
LI: Tresemee
Miss Jessie's Pillow soft curls, diffuse 50%, add KCCC and diffuse to 80%.
Always wash upside down.
My routine has changed a bit and it depends on my schedule. I use to low poo with the Shea Moistures raw Shea butter moisture retention shampoo to help remove buildup but although it left my hair soft I didn't find it cleaned my hair like a shampoo would so I didn't repurchase it. My conditioner actually works just as well as the Shea Moistures shampoo for my hair.

I work out at least five days a week so I have to co-wash my hair almost every day with a light conditioner usually Suave and I detangle with the Giovanni deep moisture conditioner. I find that when I do this my hair is very soft, shiny and my curls look bouncy and great. On the days I have to co-wash I usually just use the Shea Moistures curl enhancing smoothie and the kinky curly knot today afterwards, that's usually enough to keep my curls looking and feeling amazing. Sometimes I will add other products but usually if I'm co-washing so often I try to keep it simple. If I'm going for second or third day hair I will usually add some other products into my routine.

I also deep condition once a week using a dryer attachment and I alternate between my favorite deep conditioners: Macadamia deep repair hair masque, the Shea Moistures hair masque or the Nexxus Humectress deep conditioner.

If I really feel like my hair needs to be shampooed because it is too oily or I need to wash out some product and clean my scalp thoroughly I use the l'oreal evercreme Intense nourishing shampoo. I also shampoo my hair if I'm going to do an oil treatment because co-washing just doesn't get out the oils well enough and I also do it on the rare occasions I decide to flat iron since I try to keep it straight for at least a week.

i have a simple routine, i wash with a low poo twice a week, and condish style, with oil, i message my scalp with an oil mixture, and seal my ends. my hair loves this. though lately it hasnt been as nice.
it is getting longer, (yay!)
the weather is quiet harsh here, and my hair doesnt like winter
when i wash it just feels cleaner and light, and i seem to get nice definition and clean shine. hope that makes sense haha
its not bad, its just not as good as it was for a few months.

My scalp gets totally itchy on like day ONE after cowashing. I have given up on cowashing exclusively, but I do it a lot lately. But when my scalp feels funky, my hair starts looking "odd" I know it's time. Tonight I washed with my L'Oreal EverCreme shampoo and detangled with my comb- which I haven't touched in like 2 MONTHS and my hair already feels better. Right now my hair is overnight soaking in Tresemme Naturals conditioner.

When it needs it.. You'll just know.
