Default Homemade FSG > Did I buy the right kind of flaxseeds?

So I bought some flaxseeds to make homemade FSG and I'm not sure if they are okay to use. On the package it says they are "golden roasted". Shouldn't they be virgin? They were the only flaxseeds they had at the store. It does say refrigerate after opening the bag. They are wholeseed too. If I bought the wrong ones I'll just use these for baking. No biggie. But ladies who brew their own FSG, where do you buy your flaxseeds?

You need raw flaxseeds. The rosted ones will not produce any gel.

I buy mine at whole foods but alot of regular grocery stores carry it too. You can get the regular one or the golden flax seed but it should be the raw whole seed.

Yeah, you should be able to find them where the bulk bins are if you're in a regular grocery store.

Bulk bins it is then! I would've gone to WF but TJ's was closer today. Thanks everyone.
