Help! Need an intervention! I must stop touching my hair!!

I am finding since going CG, I have a very hard time not running my hands through my hair. It must be a nervous habit. It just breaks up my curls and causes MEGA frizz.

Any suggestions to help me?

Thanks.

Smear your hands in with silicones.

Just kiddin' xD

Maybe you could reward yourself or something? When you don't touch your hair for a day, you get a reward. When you don't touch your hair for three days in a row, you get a big reward!

Just an idea :)

I have the same problem too. When I feel the need to run my fingers through my hair, I take my fingers from underneath my hair and just push up on my roots a bit. It takes care of that impulse, doesn't brake up the curls, and adds a little volume. :)

I have the same problem. I think we'll end up founding a Club... lolll... :wav:

Seriously, any suggestion is welcome... (:

I like the suggestion of reaching inside your hair. How about you play with your jewelry instead? That's how I got myself to stop biting my nails when I was a child. I like dangly earrings so if I'm feeling fidgety I'll play with those. Or a necklace. Or I'll wind my ring around my finger.

For me I think it sometimes has to do with not feeling confident about how my hair looks. I do it a lot less if I feel that my hair looks great. Unfortunately those days are few and far between.

In that case keep your hair off your shoulders and off your mind. That way it'll be out of reach on both fronts. I'm sure your hair is lovely and the less you stress the more intact your curls will be.
