Unhappy My hair is hard like gel?

After I wash my hair when it dries some bits are very frizzy and dry like hay and some bits clump together and stay sticky, hard and damp even, though I know i've washed everything out of my hair. Could it be product build up, should I clarify?

Sounds like you might be sensitive to protein. Do you have coarse/thick hair? Are there any proteins in your current hair products? I would put all the proteins down for a while and see how protein free hair products work out for you. And yes I would clarify.

And remember that even protein sensitive hair NEEDS proteins every once in a while, when your hair is back to normal you should still use some proteins every once in a while.

Here is a list of ingredients classified as protein:

Collagen, soybean seed extraxt and brewers yeast (hops) are also proteins. I've heard coconut oil, acai, avocado oil and olive oil MAY also act as protein.

Another question is what type of water do you have...I have horrible Florida well water...therefore I cleanse with CJ daily fix appx every 3-5 washes..To remove the chemical deposits, however you will need a cleanser with EDTA in it to remove the harsh chemicals...I think a general lowpoo at least would be beneficial for you…then follow with maybe a few deep conditioner treatments...I agree with Aqua_Lily to eliminate the proteins for awhile...
