HELP! Hair hard as a rock!!

Can someone PLEASE help me? I've had this problem for about 3 weeks, and it just keeps getting worse. After I was my hair and it dries, it is clumpy and the hairs are as hard as a rock!! I don't use protein or silicone, but i though it might be build up so today I washed my hair with Drama Clean clarifying shampoo and Tresseme Naturals conditioner, and now it still feels hard. It literally feels like I have gel or hairspray in my hair because it doesn't bend. This is happening in the old parts of my hair that I bleached a year and a half ago, but my roots also feel a little bit hard. PLEASE HELP! I'm about to shave my head :(

i say do a acv rinse and just baby it back to life. Look to see if it has wheat protein that ma be the problem. Try to go all natural for a change just to see what it is

Thanks i will try the ACV. I thought I was protein sensitive so I haven't used protein for almost 2 months, could that be why its hard?

So, your hair is protein sensitive? Are you using coconut oil in your regimen? I really like like coconut oil but now make a point to alternate using it with using extra virgin olive oil (which I also really like) after reading how coconut oil is particularly good at preventing the loss of hair protein. I'm thinking that might not be a problem for anyone unless their hair has protein sensitivity issues.

My hair is reeeeally picky about proteins -- some it's fine with, but the ones it doesn't like, it *really* doesn't like. Even though I'm very conscientious about what proteins go on my hair, one time in the last year+ I've been using coconut oil, I got an inkling that it might be creating a problem because my hair's protein sensitivity issue (i.e. a slight "hardness" to my hair). Once I changed my routine to rotating coconut oil and EVOO, my hair went back to feeling healthy and normal (NOT at all hard) pretty quickly.

Anyway, that's the first thing that came to mind when I read your post. HTH

On the off chance that your using coconut oil as a leave in, it freezes up in cold weather, so that could be it.

Im not using coconut oil, and it's summer where i live
