Default Any recommendations for curl creams or non crunchy gels?

I love all the products I'm currently using except the only styling product that seems to work for me is kccc and being as its kind of pricey I'm trying to find alternatives.

And yes I know that some people find kccc crunchy but for me if it does get crunchy it's an easily scrunched out crunch that ends up soft and not dry and tacky like other gels .

Kiss My Face styling gel ( Kiss My Face, OHC, Upper Management, Styling Gel, Grapefruit, 8 fl oz (236 ml) - iHerb.com ) is not crunchy at all and REALLY good. However, the hold may be too light for you if you like KCCC.

I really like Boots Curl Creme if you can find it (check the swap board or ask around). No crunch/hold but helps with definition.

Flaxseed gel might be a good option for you. It's super easy and cheap to make at home. All you need is a pan and a fine mesh strainer and some flax seeds. Oh and a bottle to put it in when it's done. I find that it has hold with very easy to get rid of crunch.

FSG like LL mentioned is good since you can customize it. I have other suggestions but they're a little pricey too. Spiral Solutions Firm Hold Gel and Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha are good gels. If you decide to go the CJ PP route, you can usually find a 20% coupon for aveyou.com.

aloe Vera gel is an excellent curl definer but my hair is different. I have 4a hair, thus probably drier than yours. I uses 3 tbsp avg mixed with 1 tbsp jojoba oil. It defines and moisturizes my hair. There is no crunchy hold either. I have midneck length hair (if stretched with fingers) so you may have to adjust #. Also, a bit less oil may be better for you but in my case it does not leave my hair greasy but just perfectly moisturized. This combination serves as both a leavein and curl styler/gel.

Thank you I will try that , my hair is actually quite dry despite my curl pattern . So I will try your recipe first and then make any adjustments after.

I have just used soft sheen beautiful beginnings curl cream by Carson. Gave me 2b-2c, and my daughter 3b-3c great definition and soft "bouncy" curls. Found it at Fred's super dollar for $1.99
