Ever get so excited you can hardly wait to try again?
Some nights I go to sleep all excited about what I am going to try tomorrow.
Sometime its because I've had a good hair day and want to do it again to see if its got HG potential.
Some days I can't wait to change a a bad hair day.
Some days, I hate to even admit it, but I've washed it again as soon as I had it dry and started over just for the fun of it.
I guess I have too much time on my hands, but it's suCha good feeling wHen it comes out right.
Please tell me I'm not the only curl alchemist out there.
I know many of you make your own products and you probably try stuff out on yourself.
I'm talking about doing it just for fun and kicks.
And,who knows, maybe I'll find the perfect way to get my 2b/c really amped up and perfectly....... CG!
I know I'm not the only one....... Tell me.
Is it you?

I'm the same way. My driving factor is that elusive perfection. It's like it's so good one day that I just have to try again the next day...just to see if it will get better!!!

I never used products until I started lurking on nc.com. At that point, I loved thinking about what combo I'd use each and every day. If my hair didn't come out well--I did "do overs!"
Now, I know my hair and what it likes. I rotate products and never use any one thing more then once in five days. I'm testing out the Organicals products and trying to decide if I like one gel better than the other--so I want to use the same products underneath. Have to wait the five days in order to do that! That's the only time it's difficult, LOL!

Well, I got up today with FABULOUS second day hair, darn it.
I can't even do a do-over cause the washing machine repair guy is coming.
But if it doesn't still look great after he leaves, then...
Look out! Pooks is gonna do it again!
What will I try

I already found my HG styling prodcuts, I think, (although I'm trying out a new one) but I feel the same way about experimenting with techniques and conditioners. Especially on weekends when I have the time. I'm good about the waiting between washes though. If my hair doesn't come out exactly as I like it (too producty or whatever) I just put it up. So long as its out of the way I won't dwell.

My hair is pretty short as I am growing into CG from a short straight bob with bangs.
I trimmed a little myself ( while I was under the influence of painkillers right after I got out of the hospital) but I will have my first real haircut on the 31.
My stylist has been my BF/frenemy (it happens) for 25 years and she hates my hair unstraightened, but I told her I am committed to CG so it will be very interesting indeed.
She is a fantastic hair cutter and I know she can cut curly hair.
But I am in all new territory now and still terribly excited.
I can't wait till tomorrow to do my hair again.
I wish I could get my DH to do it.
He is a real frizzball and has always been.
But I love him anyway.
I told him how much better it is for his scalp and slowing hair loss.
That's what men worry about!
Still, what will I try tomorrow???

GUILTY! Well not so much now but before I got my hair routine down I use to wash my hair 2 or 3 times some days. Even now if I'm trying something new and I don't think it's going to look right once it's dry I'll rewash it.
Playing with my hair is a hobby though so it doesn't bother me to obsess over it from time to time

Hey, if my hair was short I think I'd be washing it twice a day and experimenting like mad too. It would be such fun! Sorry to hear your stylist is a "frenemy" though. She must be very good for you to endure it.

My mom teases me because I NEVER use the same routine/products two days in a row! lol No matter how much I may like (or sometimes dislike) the result I always want to try and make it BETTER the next day.
A lot of times I catch up with my NC.com reading at night lying in bed so I can plan what I'm going to try the next morning.

Honestly, I think it's usually just fun and games, but some people IMO have addictive personalities and if they aren't busy "Holy Grail" chasing w/their hair, they're busy trying to perfect something else in their lives.

For me it's definitely fun and games.
It's all new to me so it is all fun.
In fact, tonight feels like one of those nights.

Im so guilty of hair a.d.d. , and this site is just an enabler. I had always liked to try out different things but this site just took me to another level. Lately I have been doing things at night and trying again in the morning I have issues and I need a life I know!..

yes yes i know the feeling! i was sick for the last two weeks n had time off work, so as i lied in bed one night i thought myself, so bf is gone tomorrow, bfs dads gone as well..... DT and rinse coming up! then i planed it out in my head what i wanted to do hahaha i dont have alot of chances to do nice things like that.
on another nice note: ive been doing my hair a "new way" for me, its like a protective styling, cause its getting longer i was sick of all the tangles and shread hair, cause its alot of work to de tanlge.
i wore my hair like that first time today was good, tomorrow again n see how long i can keep it up.
sory raved on a bit there!

I'm still trying to get my hair to look decent, so it's like everyday I'm trying different products and combinations. It's the only thing I look forward to doing the next day. Although the repeated let downs are starting to suck the anticipation out of it :-/ anyway, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets anxious to try again
