AWWWW!! Really???? Thanks!! I had a rough rehearsal tonight, and a sorta bad hair day, so that made my night!! Lol!!
Are you fine and porous?? Good chance a lot of our stuff will work for you!!!
As for red or highlight... Go for both! Lol!
And HoC is right - FSG is super easy! Just do it!
I experimented with cones this week, and I think i might be OC'd from it! Dews are SUPER high here today, tho, so my hair is totally confused. But I'm hoping to pick up the smoothie soon, wash out the cone, and give it a shot! (Afraid that the cone caused the OC, and the smoothie with the cone would be disastrous!)

Maybe I'll try it as a dot also.

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

I'm coarse but I'm also highly porous and I think porosity might play the biggest role in my hair. At least for now until I can get it well. Oh I know. Keep reminding me HoC and Jas, my hair sirens. I so need to get on that fsg. Instead I spent last night skyping and looking up enchilada recipes.
And Jas I think I saw your hair on the before/after CG method thread. I was all . So much hair envy! I never had this much hair envy before I discovered this site. And that's just with the ladies whose curls are the same size as mine. I can't even go onto the 3c/4a forums even to browse because I get so jealous of those teeny tiny springy curls.

rmc2 - I use about a full tsp of kinky curly on BSL (that means bra strap length right?) 3a thick hair. So less is more = more bang for my buck to me. I'm going to have to revisit the souffle thread to see if someone has posted the ingredients. Hopefully it's humectant free because that'd be a dream come true.
fefe - Thanks for your help. Maybe I just need to couple it with the souffle for the magic to happen.
Jas - Okay instructions read "Nutrient rich vegetable butters condition hair, restoring moisture and shine. Apply to damp or styled hair to enhance curls, minimize frizz and prove curl control".

I use it to wear my Afro styles due to the cold winter but it curls my hair and it looks like a washngo. I like the CES again. I had fallen out with SM over their prices a while ago but had a change of heart.

Dusalocks - thanks for posting!
When I want to look at ingredients, I will look a product up on Walgreens' website, or at drugstore.com, or or the curls on the go app! (In that order, typically)
They all list ingredients. Of course reformulation a don't always make it on there, so ingredients can be incorrect. But with SM you are probably ok.

I use the smoothie last year and it made my hair moisturized, defined and super soft. I used it in the winter and than in the summer, it stopped working. It didnt do anything on my hair. I am going to try it again as a deep treatment though

I recently tried the SheaMoisture line and I'm loving it! Was able to get 2nd Day hair!
I use the Restorative Conditioner and I used a little as a leave-in. I use both the Coconut & Hibiscus Hair Milk and the Smoothie but a little of each. I use the Milk for the body of my hair, and I scrunch in the Smoothie on my ends. Then I follow up with a small amount of KCCC for hold. Lastly, I use Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil on just my ends as well.
I did have to spray my hair with a cheap travel size squirt bottle that was full of water. But, for something that saved me time and product? Can't complain. Hehe.
Just bought the Souffle, going to test out the results.

Fefe, you're so pretty! I want your hair, too. Also those earrings. Somebody wrap them up for me and I'll take them to go.

I've reevaluated my thoughts on this product. I'm thinking I may kind of love it now.
So the day before yesterday I made the mistake of letting someone hug me (and my hair) before it was dry. Looked all right that evening but the next morning I woke up to a lot of hair and most of it was undefined. I was able to fix it with KCCC but I think it was a bandaid because by night everything was falling apart again. However, I put some of this smoothie into my hands, added a bit of water and then applied it to all the trouble spots. All the curls reclumped and looked pretty and shiny and, best of all, killed the crazy volume that was threatening to make a comeback. Same goes for this morning. So for me it's good as a styling base, decent as a deep treatment, excels as a refresher for touch ups, and has I believe rinse out potential. Have to try that next. I guess my hair just really likes curl creams and jellies.

Shea Moisture CES on my Afro. I like it because it protects and moisturizes my hair in this harsh cold air of winter

Does anyone use this on dry hair that needs moisture? Maybe it's dry 2nd day hair, sort of as a refresher? Or would that be disastrous?

Yep! I mist my hair with water and use the SM CES as a refresher. Be careful with being heavy handed tho. You don't need but a little as a refresher because the water reactivates the product already in your hair.

I use a small amount to scrunch out the crunch, and end up with soft, shiny hair. I also use a tiny bit on my ends sometimes.

I do! I do! It's awesome for that. But I do dilute it with a few drops of water. Now you've got me thinking I want to try the milk once I run out since you said it's just like the smoothie only lighter. . .

oh man. After the disaster that was trying KCKT, I decided to leave the SM smoothie out of my line-up today to see if that would help (heaviness and all) and my hair is just ICK. I need the smoothie, I need it.

Lol!! I've still not tried it. :/ I plan to pick some up this week, though. But I'm torn between smoothie and milk...
