Is anyone using Mop Top?

I was just wondering if anyone uses or has used Mop Top products and what you thought of them. I'm pretty new to this site so I haven't heard much about them.

I use the line and absolutely love it I recently discovered it and have been through nearly every big line talked about here (Deva, Jessicurl, Curl Junkie, Curls, etc). They all had good products but this one really has worked for my hair. I do think you need to use the products together for optimum results. I have softer, shinier and curlier hair than ever before with Mop Top. Check out the reviews under Curl Products. I think it's an undiscovered line. The owner , Kelly, is also very helpful.
3a Colored, Layered
Currently loving:
Cond: CJ Strengthing, Marie Dean, CJ Curl Rehab
Leave -In: Marie Dean Red Clover, Coconut Lime Detangler and just about the entire line, CJ Rehab
Gelly: UFDCM, Paul Brown Geletine Goo
Towel - HG - Curls Like Us

Always use the "Icequeen" method for products

The gel had no hold on me dang it. And I generally like light hold gels. It must be better when used in conjunction with the conditioner.
I know Angell is that way with OneC in my hair
2c/3a?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

I follow the directions on her website - the pomade is iffy for me and not necessary. I am not a fan of the Deva spray but really find the MopTop detangler adds to the softness and curls. I end up with a head of many more soft, but skinnier curls than Deva. The only negative is that my second day hair is better with Deva. I have tried the gel and detangler spray alone and don't get the same results as combining them together. I honestly probably wouldn't like the gel without the cond. and spray. It's strange I have used it over creme leave-ins and ended up with crunch. So I'm not sure what the spray does but it makes a difference. I'd recommend trying the travel pack so you can put it all together. BTW, Deva is my other favorite line so it's easy for me to compare. Hope this helps.

From what Kelly, the owner, told me, the Fuzzy Duck gel (the kids' version of Mop Top) has more hold than the regular gel. I found the Mop Top did not have enough hold for me either - the products are very good, excellent CG- friendly ingredients! One of these days maybe I'll try the Fuzzy Duck gel...
I really like the Mop Top conditioner, but the gel was too light for my hair. It did make my hair very curly and shiny, it just couldn't control the frizz. I will order the Fuzzy Duck gel with my next CurlMart purchase to see if that one does the trick for me.

I'm experimenting with the Fuzzy Duck gel. I don't see much difference. Kelly tells me she will be coming out with a stronger hold gel.

Grrr, tell her to get on that. Chop chop!

I love how my hair looks right after I do it with the MT gel. It's SOOOO shiny and even my BF comments how good it looks. It just doesn't stay that way for more than an hour. If she can make something that does that with a strong hold, she will officially be my hero.
