Default winter blues?

I noticed ever since the end of November, my hair has been curling up so much more than usual! Especially underneath. My hair usually is half way down my back but lately its been curling up to shoulder length. What is going on? Is it the winter weather? Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know of any products that can help me?

Probably not winter as winter weather tends to have the opposite effect. Mellow curls. Might be hormonal. I think you're lucky but then I covet tighter curls.

Try very hard hold gels to weigh your hair down. Also use heavier leave-in conditioners. Hair tends to be drier in winter anyways!

Kinky curly curling custard tends to have an elongating effect. Not much, but I notice my hair is roughly an inch longer with it as opposed to other gels. I still have good bounce though. And makes my hair look healthier and feel softer than anything else I've tried yet.

When you style, you could try scrunching less or raking your products in and then not scrunching at all.

Oh, you should research how to combat curl shrinkage. I'm sure there are plenty of threads on that around here.

I've looked around, but haven't found anything useful yet. Does anyone else know of any products that would work? I've tried every straightening balm and smoothing creme I could find. I REALLY need help!
