We're gonna need a little more info. What are you doing right now for your hair? What products/techniques? What are you looking for- definition? Frizz reduction? Volume? If we know what you're currently doing an what effect you're seeking it will be easier to answer your question. Also very important, especially if you're looking for product suggestions, have you tried determine your hair properties yet? Curl pattern (2a, 4b, etc) is very transient and can change based on weather, products, techniques, etc. Properties (texture and porosity are the big two, density and elasticity are the other two) will have a big impact on the products and ingredients that will work best for your hair. Livecurlylivefree.com has a ton of great info for figuring out properties. The key to maximizing your hair's potential is to find what works based on properties.
I know that you did also ask about curl pattern, and even though it's not really important, I know it's something everyone wants to know. Based on your pic I would say 2a right now, but the right cut, products ad techniques could probably get you to 2b.
