Default Help understanding dew points?

Hi ladies and gents,

I spent some time reading up on dew point styling yesterday (thanks to Laura Lee, RCC, and Tiffany for all the info!), and I thought I got it, but then today happened. I was rocking a fabulous hair day, then went outside to get lunch. When I got back, my hair was completely frizzed out.

Wunderground says the dew point today, at around noon, was 44, as was the temperature. It felt really damp out, though (humidity at 77%), and my hair really felt it. From what I read, isn't a dew point of 44 supposed to be in the "sweet spot" range? Or am I not getting something? I'll update my signature in a sec with my routine and products, fwiw.

Thanks for any insight!
