Castor Oil and hair growth?

Hey ladies, so I've been looking around some threads and came across the castor oil challenge. I've heard about this oil helping eyelashes grow along with some other oils. Anywhoo, this thread regarding the challenge says how one should add oils such as jojoba and tea tree oil to thin the castor oil out a bit. I am DYING to try this out because I am on a mission for longer and thicker hair. I currently mix a whole bunch of oils together and do a hot oil treatment weekly but I've heard jamaican black castor oil really does improve the overall health of hair much more faster. My questions are what kind of castor oil should I get? Should I order jamaican black castor oil online or can I buy it in stores? I also read in the thread that, correct me if I'm wrong, to apply the oil along with others of your choice at least 3 times a week and you can leave it in without washing out? Is that okay to do? I don't really mind doing so because I almost always wear hats when I'm on campus to class so I wouldn't mind walking around with it in my head. If you've used or are using this and noticed results, have you added other oils along with this and what are they? I was thinking of just adding some evoo to thin it out a bit and leaving it in about three times a week but using every friday night to shampoo, pt, and dt. Ladies I would love if you leave your thoughts or reviews as soon as possible because I'm eager to try this once march begins

I personally just add equal parts EVOO & CO together and get great results. The EVOO thins the CO a bit. IMO these are the best less expensive oils to use. I massage a bit in my problem areas daily. Now, keep in mind you don't drench your hair/scalp with the oil. You just massage a bit to your entire scalp or just problem areas as many times you like between washings.

I do this!! I use Jamaican Black castor oil and I add some extra virgin coconut oil. I then massage my scalp with it, everyday. It has really improved my hair growth. My hair has grown 2 inches in the last 1.5 months!
