Hair growing faster after starting CG method?
I have been noticing my roots coming in faster since going CG (I color my grays). Anyone else notice this?

You know I'm going to start tracking my hair growth with pictures or something because I'm curious. I've always had relatively fast growing hair. Especially when I straightened it you could see it. But I just feel like it's growing faster now. Might be the co-washing and all the massaging of the scalp. Also since our hair is healthier it's probably retaining more length. When I straightened it I'd shed like a dog. Have to vacuum the floor constantly. Now there's less hair everywhere and I also notice I lose less in the shower. My drain is probably happy.

I was thinking it was all the scalp massage too.
BTW, I am totally loving your hair Dusa! Major hair envy happening.

Really? I love yours. I'd give anything for more 3B potential. All of my 3B pieces are playing crouching tiger around my neck.

Aww thanks. But, yes I do! I love your fullness. My hair is on the thinner side. My 3b sections are mostly at my neck, but I am finding more ringlets popping up on my crown lately. I have heard that as your hair gets healthier it can get curlier.

Interesting. I was just looking up info regarding cg method and hair growth. I cut my hair from BSB to APL and I feel like my hair's growing back way quicker than the first time around.

Jules' comment has got me thinking. . . We're all thinking the hair can grow faster in general, but has anybody noticed an increase in density since the CG method? It makes sense. When I'd style straight I would lose an awful lot of hair from the heat and the brushing. It would pull whole hairs out of my head and others would just drop anyways. Now if you were to leave the hair undisturbed and encourage growth, you might grow more hair all over. . .?

Before cg I blowdryed my bangs straight every day , they came to my eyebrows. Since I have started cg in January I stopped blow drying them and let them grow. They have grown at least to the end of my nose stretched, I say about 3 inches.
That made me a believer! My hair is growing faster! I think the scalp massage has something to do with it, since I never did that before.

I'm modified curly girl but even that change was enough to promote growth. In the last year my hair grew like a weed. My hair has always been pretty long but the difference is my hair is growing faster and I'm retaining all of my growth without doing all the harmful things I use to do.
