Bangs pics, please!!
Can you all post your bangs/fringe pics, please??? There are a few of us that feel we need bangs, but can't seem to figure them out.
I, for one, have a mainly 3a pattern (some 3b, some 2c). I don't have a TON of root curl, but there is some. I keep my bangs sort of side swept, and use a 1" curling iron to round them (not straighten, but give them on solid curl/curve and side swept direction).
Throughout the day, tho, they fall in my eyes, sometimes clump up and look stringy... And I don't know what to do!
I never had bangs until a couple years ago. (I kept seeing pics of myself and thinking "holy crap. Look at that forehead.")
I posted a pic a while back... But of course I can't figure out how to add it here. :/. If I so I'll edit it in! Lol!
Anyhow, advice is welcome, and PLEASE post pics!!!
Eta: ok, I cannot figure out how to add pics on this app. Lol! If I can tomorrow i'll try to from my computer.
But the picture I posted is on pg 80 of the B&A thread, post #1592. Lol!!

My bangs are so hit or miss I think it's because I'm right handed and I'm sweeping them to the right. LOL, I'm sure if I googled this I could find an answer to my problem. I'm curious to see comments and pics on this because I too would like some ideas!

Same here. My bangs do have a few good days. But a lot of time the good days end with them flipping into my eyes.
Even when I didn't have bangs, the front would end up tucked behind an ear all the time. Even when I DIDN'T have bangs my bangs were in my eyes!! Lol!!
I consider growing them back out, but then I look at old pictures of myself - hair tucked behind my ear, forehead GLARING....
Idk. My curls are looking good and behaving far more consistently now, but I still have hair frustration. I rarely feel like I look good bc of my bangs. And I feel like I'm constantly "dealing" with them.

I'm also curious to see pics. Since my hair is so damaged my bangs definitely don't work, but even when it was all healthy I'd have to longer bangs and keep them pinned to the side...so I'm anxious to see other people's results!

I keep mine swept to the side so I don't know if you want a pic of that?

Cute, HoC!!
Mine are probably too short right now to do that. And probably don't have enough curl. Or root volume in the rest of my hair. LOL!!
More pics, guys!!!

Serious bang envy!
I wish mine would lay like that. They either curl all the way up or stick out at a ninety degree angle, uhg! So not picture worthy.

Since my curls are 3a, and tend to be a little looser in front, my bangs don't make nice curls. They just look... Bent, or something.
I curl mine into a curve, and I think that blends ok with my curl pattern. They aren't stick straight, but they aren't curly, for sure.
Having said that - I'm not going to make a blanket statement of "straight bangs look awful". I can say it's not a look I like on me, but to each their own. It all depends on what you are comfortable with, and what look you are going for. So if a person WANTS straight bangs, I say go for it.

I do not like how straight bangs look on people with tighter curls...it reminds me of the 80's! lol! But, like Jas said, that's a blanket statement and it's not true for every person.
But, give curly bangs a try!

Ok. So I cut my hair (well, trimmed, really) today while the boys were napping, plopped, and now my hair is air drying. I sort of pin curled my bangs just to see how they turn out. I used duckbill clips and sort of "accentuated" the natural curl that was trying to happen. We'll see how it turns out.
Part of why I wanted bangs was so when I pulled my hair back I'd look better.
Idk.

Aw I don't think my bangs looked 80-ish. I don't have them now, but I liked them when I had them (though tying my hair back was an issue, and involved many bobby pins).

Well, the experiment failed. :/ bangs look awful.
I can try using a smaller barreled curling iron and see if I can make them curly and matching the rest, though I've tried that before with no luck.
