Default AHH! MY FIRST GRAY! HELP!

Okay, I am sort of freaking out here! There was a shiny thing on my head today and I pulled it out to tragically reveal a... gray hair!

Now, I don't really have a problem with gray hair. I just like my color, plus it is a little awkward considering I am 18!!!

I think gray hair is beautiful and all, but at 18? Does this gray hair mean I am going to get more?! Do you guys have any experience with this??? THANKS!

Ehh...it's normal I'm 22...I'm got a bunch sprinkled around. I make my boyfriend pluck them all out...but they just grow right back. You've got only one now. You'll probably have a billion by next year. Don't worry Just joking...relax..it's only a gray...You can always dye it!

Nah, you probably won't get too many more at your age. I got my first grey hair over a year ago, pulled it out, and didn't see any more for over a year. Then recently I found like 5 of them, so now I'm freaking out a little bit.

I found my first gray at 18 too. I have a few sprinkled all over the place now at 25. Found a hair that's getting ready to turn(it starts looking like a bright auburn color and then turns gray/white).

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Unless your family tends to gray early, you most likely won't have any problems.

Ha I found a gray yesterday. I was detangling the back of my hair and out came a wire-y gray! The root was still black. I also have noticed that my hair around my hairline and part is growing in blondish, and my hair is naturally dark brown. I'm sure I'm going to go gray young, my dad went gray in his early 20s and if he didn't dye his hair now his hair would be cotton snow white. So when those grays start to pop up, you can bet I'm following dad's footsteps LOL.

But watch out with all this plucking, remember that old wive's tale, for every white hair you pluck, 5 will grow back in it's place!

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been seeing gray hair for over 15 years here and there. I personally think it looks very pretty on some curlies.

I'm 47 and I've been graying since I was in my late 20's. I color my hair dark blonde and my grays look like highlights after coloring so I get off a lot cheaper! My natural hair color if I remember correctly is medium brown. I use Loreal Natural Match in dark blonde.
