does anyone on here not do CG at all?

I've been on here awhile and I'm wondering if anyone else uses tips from this site, but does not do the CG method at all? I've found CG just doesn't work for me, but I've also found other great hair tips. Is there anyone else out there like me? I shampoo, I dry with a towel and I *gasp* brush my hair! I'm just comfortable in my ways. I'm not saying CG is bad, or my way is good, just that I'm used to what I've always done and my results are good enough for me to be happy that way. Anyone else?

I don't do the no-cone route.

I get lots of tips for how to do things on here, without actually needing to do the CG - since my scalp is a lot happier with a clarifying shampoo once every couple of weeks or so - I really don't care about ingredients, as long as my hair likes it.

Oh that's good to know, I've tried CG, but the results for me aren't worth the effort. I'm quite happy with my normal shampoo and cones. Like you, I've found awesome tips for curly hair care. Thanks for sharing!

IMO, it's all about whether or not you're happy with the current state of your hair! The vast majority of people use sulfate shampoo and cones are get good results (or at least results they're happy with), including curlies :)

I went CG 3 weeks ago because I was tired of struggling with my frizzy, ill-defined curls all my life, and the logic behind the CG basics made a lot of sense to me.

I would say that I'm getting consistently better results now, although to be perfectly honest, I've completely changed both my routine AND all my products, so it's hard for me to isolate any particular change I made that really made the difference.
