I think any product will weigh your hair down...it's kind of what I keep banking on. I have 3b/3c, baby fine and more hair than all of you guys combined probably. I wish to the gods above that there was the one thing that weighed it down so I didn't look like I belong on a dog show.

That being said, diffuse upside down or leaning parallel to the floor, and doing a sort of scrunching motion up and down, the same you'd use when you scrunch in your products with your blow dryer on low. That's the best my hair has ever looked, but unfortunately it was so big that I was embarrassed to even leave the bathroom. It was a total shame.

Hey! Canadians have to have some good hair products . I'm intrigued by Curly Hair Solutions RevUP! product which gives volume. I'm going to the salon in a few weeks to get a cut so I'll probably pick up the RevUp! to try with my CK...

RevUP!

If you have dry hair and need lots of moisture it may not be for you but if your hair is like mine in that I get over moisturized very very easily, I can see this working with just CK, or even with a very light LI of some kind.

Lol she didn't mean it in an insulting way. She just meant too bad it's from Canada because it makes it harder/more expensive to get here in the states

I'd say you do! High density that is. My mom has medium to fine hair and nobody would ever accuse her hair of being thin because her density is like twice the size of mine. Big hair is big hair. The packaging doesn't matter.

Hiya, I was joking too, you know, tongue in cheek comment. Usually on these boards, its Canadians who moan about the expensive shipping and stuff, so it seems weird to see it from you ladies from the land of Hair Plenty. No worries about offending me, I thought it was funny

Well the great news is that my hair is awesome right now. Soft, bouncy and minimal frizz. The bad news? I used 3 new things today, and don't know which one did the trick -_____-

Longlivecurls did u try the recoil yet? Also, curl keeper was one of the 3 things I tried tonight and got great results. I wish I could say definitively that it was the reason why, but now I'm more confused than ever lol. I do like how light it is though. It really does feel watery so it was so easy to distribute and didn't weigh down or coat my hair, so that I really liked about it. But, like I said, it could be just that, or the combo of all three things, or one of the other two things..... Etc. x___x

I understand how you feel I sometimes find it confusing to know what my hair likes and dislikes since I always use a combination of products. Haven't purchased the recoil yet. I just received the CHS gel and yesterday I got the CK. I want to try them out hopefully tonight along with my Tresemme mousse. I'm still not sure if I should use it in combination with the SM smoothie. I feel like it might be too much products lol. I wonder if the CK can be used to seal since that's what I mainly use the smoothie for. So many questions o_O

If the CK keeps going well then I might put up my recoil on the swap boards

any in particular that you recommend?? i've been having good results with SSCEJ, but I need another product for hold, I like the Giovanni Magnetic Styling Gel for adding shine & taming frizz/flyaways but when I've been using gel to scrunch, my hair feels icky.
I've used KMS Curl Up wave mousse. And I use Schwartzkopf Osis+, but this was a discontinued product. Usually I mix it with a bit of gel for extra hold. I don't think the brand of the gel mousse is of great importance, it's the consistency that does the trick. When it says 'volume' that helps too. And take a look at the ingredients list to see if there's no drying alcohol or other stuff that doesn't agree with your hair. I also make sure there are some ingredients on top of the list that are also used in curly products.

I have super fine hair. Honestly, it's like cobwebs. I would suggest using Curl Keeper or flaxseed gel. They're both very lightweight.

I can use Curl Keeper alone.

Most of the time I apply A|G re:coil (curl activator) first, to help even out my curl, then the CK. That's all I need in summer.

In winter, I've been cocktailing the CK with a gel and B'Leave In. Some of the time I apply A|G Mousse-Gel to the roots either before (if I remember) the CK and gel cocktail, after (if I forgot until I was already squishing the CK in.

FWIW, when I use FSG, the only other thing I apply (after my conditioner) is Jessicurl Confident Coils.

Hey morgan. Lately I've been using curl keeper alone too I wanna apply more but I'm almost out and I'm out of the states this week so I can't get access to more. But so far so good, even in the humid weather of PR. I love how light it is and that when I apply water to my hair it reactivates

Morgan, when you use FSG with CCSS how and when do you apply these products?

After rinsing my conditioner, I squeeze as much water out of my hair in my bare fists as I can. Then I pour a near palmful of FSG into my hand, and add about a nickel sized amount of CCSS, mix them together in my hands, and squish the mixture into my hair. I let it soak in (my hair has low porosity), then scrunch dry lightly with a FST or microfiber towel. I used to plop overnight with a towel over my pillow, but now I scrunch my hair as I lay down, then make sure all the hair which doesn't have to have weight on it is loose on the towel covered pillow above my head, sort of like plopping without the plopping towel, It's mostly dry by the time I get up.
